Shalom u'Vrachah!
In response to your letter from the 8th of Iyar, requesting a blessing and a pan (pidyon nefesh). At an auspicious time it will be read at the holy resting place of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe, of blessed memory.
With blessing, on behalf of the Rebbe shlita, Secretary
P.S. Among the pieces of advice regarding anger is to contemplate how the whole world is filled with the glory of the King of kings, the Holy One blessed be He—especially according to what our master the Alter Rebbe writes in chapter 41 of Tanya Kadisha: that Hashem stands over him etc., observing him and examining his mind and heart to see if he serves Him properly. When one recalls this—that one is in the presence of Hashem Yisbarach at every moment and that at that very moment Hashem examines his mind and heart—there is no room for anger etc. This is also advice for success in battling the yetzer hara and confusing thoughts about which you write.
Since it has been several years since your tefillin were checked, they should be checked now. See Mechilta at the end of Parshas Bo.
Certainly you are maintaining the three well-known daily study cycles: Chumash, Tehillim, and Tanya.
Among the pieces of advice regarding anger: see also above volume 18 letter "Va'ater" and elsewhere.
Summary
The Rebbe teaches that reflecting on G‑d's constant presence helps overcome anger and distracting thoughts. Regularly checking tefillin and maintaining daily Torah study cycles are essential practices for spiritual well-being.
