מאשר הנני קבלת מכתבו מיום השלישי לחדש הגאולה עם המצורף בו.
ות"ח ת"ח על שלחו לי שני המכתבים בחת"י כ"ק אדמו"ר הצמח צדק,
ובפרט אשר השנה שנת המאה להסתלקות הילולא שלו (הצ"צ).
וגם שביחד עם זה הרי נתוסף הענג להוודע אשר אחיו ח. ח. שי' חי וגר במוסקבה, ושמר על מכתבים אלו, משך כל השנים, למרות המאורעות והמהפכות שעברו, שזה מראה על הרגש והיחס בהכרת גודל ערך ענינים כאלו,
המאמת עוד הפעם ועוה"פ מאמר רבותינו נשיאינו על דבר הירושה שנמסרת מדור לדור בתוככי משפחת החסידים, הקשר הלבבי הפנימי והעצמי לחסידות ועניני'.
וארשה לי להביע בקשתי, אשר בהזדמנות מתאימה ימסור גם לאחיו שי' תודתי מקול"ע על המתנה הכי נעלית האמורה.
תקותי אשר משתתף הוא בעניני חב"ד אשר באה"ק ת"ו ועינו טובה גם בשל אחרים להמשיכם (צוציהען זיי) לפעולות ברוח הנ"ל, וגזע צור מחצבתו מסייעתו.
בכבוד ובכפילת תודה ובברכת חנוכה מאיר מתוך בריאות הנכונה.

I hereby acknowledge receipt of your letter from Tuesday of the month of Geulah along with its enclosures. Many thanks for sending me the two letters in the handwriting of our master and teacher, the tzt"z, especially since this year marks the hundredth anniversary of his passing (the tzt"z).
Additionally, it is even more delightful to learn that your brother Ch. Ch. lives in Moscow and preserved these letters throughout all these years despite all the events and revolutions that occurred. This demonstrates a feeling and appreciation for the great value of such matters, further confirming again and again what our Rebbeim have said about the inheritance passed down from generation to generation within chassidic families—the deep, inner heart-connection to Chassidus and its matters.
Allow me to express my request that at an appropriate opportunity you also convey my heartfelt thanks to your brother for this most precious gift.
I hope he is involved in Chabad activities in Eretz HaKodesh (may it be rebuilt and established) and that he generously encourages others to join in such activities as well; surely his chassidic lineage assists him.
