Shalom u'Vrachah!

I hereby acknowledge receipt of the letter from Wednesday, written by the leaders—the vavac"h iy"a nu"n rab pe'alim etc. Mr. Shimon Patash and Mr. A. Grunswald.

At an auspicious time, it will be read at the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzukal lehe nbagm zya, leader of Israel, to arouse abundant mercy for each and every one and their families, may they live long.

May it be G‑d's will that their efforts succeed in completing the expansion of their synagogue about which they write. More importantly, may there be an increase in benches for those coming both to pray and to hear Torah study in our holy Torah. Certainly through this there will also be an increase in G‑d's blessing—He who nourishes and sustains all with goodness, grace, kindness, and mercy—providing livelihood for all needs both spiritually and materially. He is the giver of Torah and its commandments, of which Torah study is equal to them all.

Especially as we are now in the days of Sefirah, when immediately after blessing the count we request: "HaRachaman Hu Yachzir Lanu Avodat Beit HaMikdash Limkomah Bimheira Beyameinu" (May the Merciful One restore for us the service of the Beit HaMikdash to its place speedily in our days), at which time will also be fulfilled the promise that synagogues and study halls in exile will be established in Eretz Yisrael because Torah is taught there.

Summary

The Rebbe encourages expanding both physical space and participation in prayer and Torah study as a source of increased blessings—spiritual and material—for individuals and communities alike. Efforts toward communal growth are especially meaningful during Sefirah.
