To the esteemed administration of Yeshivas Toras Emes in Jerusalem, the holy city, may it be rebuilt and established speedily in our days. May Hashem be upon them and grant them life.

Shalom u'Vrachah!

In response to the notification regarding the setting of the cornerstone for the buildings of the holy yeshiva Toras Emes, may it be G‑d's will that this laying take place at an auspicious and successful time in every detail—a large building in which Toras Emes will flourish, both its revealed and inner dimensions together. Prayer will also flourish there, which brings about true and lasting learning and leads to action, for through it "the fear of Hashem is his treasure."

Especially in our generation—the era preceding Mashiach—when the yeshiva's role is not only Torah study but primarily education based on Torah and mitzvah: an inner and genuine education that will not be intimidated by any winds in the world (meaning concealment and hiding) and will stand up to all tests.

If these words are relevant everywhere, how much more so in the Land where "the eyes of Hashem your G‑d are upon it from the beginning of the year to its end," especially in Jerusalem, the holy city—whose very name means "complete awe" (Yirah Shalem), as explained by our master the Alter Rebbe (the authority on Torah's hidden dimension) and Shulchan Aruch (the authority on Torah's revealed dimension).

The instruction of our Torah—the Torah of life—is also empowerment from Above to fulfill this command.

May it be G‑d's will that construction proceeds with proper alacrity until its completion in actuality; most importantly—that the entire house be filled with light: this is Torah—students who listen and are suited to fulfill the wishes of our Rebbeim Nesi'im, founders of the yeshiva, may their merit protect us.

Praiseworthy is each individual who participates in this lofty endeavor—whether with their money or personally (by influencing friends to do likewise). As mentioned above, this matter encompasses all three pillars: Torah, avodah (prayer), and gemilus chassadim—all together.

With honor and blessings to all participants in this celebration—among all those who have aided this endeavor in past, present, or future—may they live long.
