עס האט מיר געפרייט צו באקומען די ידיעה וועגן אייער יערלעכע אונטערנעמונג.
השם יתברך זאל העלפן, אז די אונטערנעמונג זאל זיין מיט הצלחה, מאטעריעל און גייסטיק.
אזוי ווי דעי אונטערנעמונג קומט פאר געציילטע טעג נאך שבועות, זמן מתן תורתנו, האף איך עז אלע אנטיילנעמער און עסקים וועלן מיטברענגען מיט זיך צום דינער דעם רושם און גייסט פון דעם יום-טוב פון קבלת התורה, ספעציעל די נקודה וואס פארבינדט דעם יום-טוב מיט חינוך על טהרת הקדש. דערמיט ווערט געמיינט דאס וואס אונזערע חכמים, זכרונם לברכה, האבן געזאגט, אז די תורה הק' איז ניט געגעבן געווארן ביז די אידן האבן געמאכט די קינדער אלס ערבות (גאראנטיע) אז די תורה וועט אויפגעהאלטן און אפגעהיט ווערן - בנינו ערבים בעדינו.
וויבאלד אז די אידן האבן זיך אונטערגענומען אט די גאראנטיע, און דער אויבערשטער האט די גאראנטיע אנגענומען, איז דאך קלאר אז די גאראנטיע איז א ממשות'דיקע און קען, און מוז, דורכגעפירט ווערן. מיט אנדערע ווערטער: אידן האבן די פולע און זיכערע מעגלעכקייט דורכצופירן אין לעבן די פליכט פון בנינו ערבים בעדינו - דורך תורה-חינוך על טהרת הקדש; מען דארף נאר וועלן מיט אן אמת.
דעריבער האף איך, אז אלע חשובע עסקנים, שטיצער און פריינט פון דעם מוסד חינוך אהלי תורה וועלן - אין גייסט פון דעם יום-טוב פון קבלת התורה - אויסניצן די געלעגנהייט פון דער יערלעכער אונטערנעמונג צו שאפן די נויטיקע הילף, ניט נאר צו אונטערשטיצן נאר אויך אויסברייטערן דעם מוסד חינוך אהלי תורה. בזכות זה וועט השם יתברך אויך אויסברייטערן זיין הילף צו יעדן איינעם און איינער, מיט זייערע בני-בית שיחיו, אין אלעס וואס זיי נויטיקן זיך, סיי מאטעריעל סיי גייסטיק, ווי עס איז פארזיכערט געווארן אין דער תורה - עץ חיים היא למחזיקים בה ותומכי' מאושר.

Shalom u'Vrachah!
I was pleased to receive the news about your annual undertaking. May Hashem Yisbarach help that this endeavor be successful both materially and spiritually.
Since this event takes place just a few days after Shavuos, the time of the giving of our Torah, I hope that all participants and supporters will bring with them to the dinner the impression and spirit of this Yom Tov of Kabbalas HaTorah—especially the point that connects this festival with education in purity and holiness.
This refers to what our Sages, of blessed memory, said: The holy Torah was not given until the Jews made their children guarantors that Torah would be upheld and preserved—'Banenu Areivim Baadeinu' (our children are guarantors for us). Since the Jews undertook this guarantee and Hashem accepted it, it is clear that this guarantee is real and can—and must—be fulfilled.
In other words: Jews have the full and certain ability to fulfill in life the duty of 'Banenu Areivim Baadeinu'—through Torah-education in purity and holiness; one only needs to truly want it.
Therefore I hope that all esteemed activists, supporters, and friends of Oholei Torah will—in the spirit of Kabbalas HaTorah—use this opportunity at the annual event to create necessary support not only to maintain but also to expand Oholei Torah.
In this merit may Hashem Yisbarach also expand His help to each one of you and your families in all your needs—both material and spiritual—as assured in Torah: 'Eitz Chaim Hi LaMachazikim Bah U'Somcheha Me'ushar' (It is a tree of life for those who grasp it, and its supporters are fortunate).
With honor and blessings for success—and in my father-in-law's words: To receive the Torah with joy and inwardness.
