איך האב מיט פארגעניגען אויפגעונמען די ידיעה וועגן אייער פארשטייענדער יערלעכער אונטערנעמונג, כ"ג אייר, הבא עלינו לטובה.
ארויסגייענדיק פון דעם סגולה-חודש ניסן, און אריינגייענדיק אין דעם סגולה-חודש אייר, שיק איך מיין ברכה אז השם יתברך זאל באגליקן אייער אונטערנעמונג אין ביידע הינזיכטן, מאטעריעל און גייסטיק, וואס בא אידן זיינען זיי אויסגעבונדן און פאראייניקט צוזאמען.
דער חודש אייר צייכנט זיך אויס דערמיט וואס יעדער טאג פון דעם חודש איז געבענטשט מיט א באזונדערע מצוה, די מצוה פון ספירת העומר. אין דעם חודש איז אויך אנגעהובין געווארן דאס בויען פון דעם ערשטן בית-המקדש.
ווי ס'איז באוואוסט, פארנעמען היינט די ישיבה און בית-הכנסת, וואו אידן לערנען תורה און טוען תפילה, דעם ארט פון דעם בית-המקדש, און ווערן אנגערופן "בית מקדש מעט". זייער אויפגאבע איז די זעלבע ווי די אויפגאבע פון בית-המקדש: אויפצוהאלטן דעם צוזאמענבונד פון אידן מיט זייער פאטער אין הימל, דורך תורה און מצוות אין טאג-טעגלעכן לעבן, דער שטענדיקער אוכאונטערבראכענער אידישער לעבנס-וועג.
איר אלע וועלכע האבן א חלק אין דעם, דורך אייער הילף צו דער ישיבה, אינוועסטירט אין באלדיקע און אייביקע ווערטן און גונסטן.
איך האף אז איר וועט דאס טאן מיט א ברייטער האנט, און דאס וועט אייך ביישטיין געבענטשט צו ווערן פון אויבערשטן פון זיין פולער און ברייטער האנט, אין אלע אייערע באדערפענישן, בגשמיות וברוחניות.

I received with pleasure the news about your upcoming annual event on the 23rd of Iyar, may it come to us for good.
As we leave the auspicious month of Nissan and enter the auspicious month of Iyar, I send my blessing that Hashem Yisbarach should grant success to your undertaking in both material and spiritual aspects—which for Jews are intertwined and united together.
The month of Iyar is distinguished by every day being blessed with a special mitzvah—the mitzvah of Sefiras HaOmer. In this month also began the building of the first Beis HaMikdash. As is well known, today the yeshiva and synagogue—where Jews study Torah and pray—occupy the place of the Beis HaMikdash and are called "Beis Mikdash Me'at." Their task is identical to that of the Beis HaMikdash: to maintain the bond between Jews and their Father in Heaven through Torah and mitzvos in daily life—the constant, uninterrupted Jewish way of life.
All of you who have a share in this through your support for the yeshiva are investing in immediate and eternal values and merits. I hope you will do so generously, and this will help you be blessed by Hashem from His full and generous hand in all your needs—both materially and spiritually.
Summary
The Rebbe teaches that supporting Torah institutions connects us to eternal values, likening yeshivas to a miniature Beis HaMikdash. Generous participation brings blessings from Hashem in all areas—materially and spiritually—especially during auspicious times like Iyar.
