באיחור זמן רב נתקבל מכתבם, בו כותבים שהתוועדו על דבר חסידות חב"ד בכלל וקראו שיחה של פרשת השבוע, ומבקשים ברכה לעלי' בלימוד התורה וחיות בקיום המצוות.
הזכרתי כל או"א על ציון כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע למילוי משאלות לבבם לטובה, והבא לטהר מסייעין אותו.
ומעניינא דיומא בימי אדר אלו, ידוע מדרש רבותינו ז"ל בענין ביטול גזירת המן האגגי, שמרדכי הצדיק אסף כ"ב אלף מילדי ישראל ולימד אותם תורה, ודוקא בענין הקשור עם בית-המקדש. והרי אין אלו סיפורי דברים בעלמא, אלא תורה מלשון הוראה, וההוראה היא:
כשעומד המן, כפשוטו בגשמיות, ועוד יותר המן ברוחניות הוא היצה"ר, הנה העצה היעוצה להפר עצתם היא לחזק החינוך על טהרת-הקודש, לעשות לו ית' משכן ודירה בתחתונים בעולם הזה הגשמי; שזה מבטל כל התוקף דלעומת זה, ומביא כסגנון המגילה ליהודים היתה אורה ושמחה וששון ויקר, וכמו שפירשו חכמינו ז"ל, אורה זו תורה וכו' שהתורה והמצות הן נר לרגלו ואור לנתיבתו של כל אחד ואחד באורח חייו והנהגתו בחיים היום-יומיים, שיהיו חיים הראוים לשמם.
בברכה לבשורות טובות ומשמחות בהתאם לימים אלו דמרבין בשמחה.

Your letter was received after a long delay, in which you wrote that you gathered to farbreng about Chabad Chassidus in general and read a sichah on the weekly parsha, and you request a blessing for advancement in Torah study and vitality in fulfilling mitzvos.
I have mentioned each one of you at the resting place of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzal, for the fulfillment of your heartfelt requests for good. "He who comes to purify is assisted."
Regarding the theme of these days of Adar: It is known from our Sages' Midrash regarding the nullification of Haman the Agagite's decree—that Mordechai the Tzaddik gathered 22,000 Jewish children and taught them Torah, specifically matters connected with the Beis HaMikdash.
These are not merely stories but Torah—which means instruction. The lesson is: When one faces a "Haman," literally in physical terms or even more so spiritually—the yetzer hara—the advised strategy to nullify their counsel is to strengthen education in purity and holiness, making for Him (may He be blessed) a dwelling place in this physical world. This nullifies all opposing forces and brings—as described in Megillas Esther—"the Jews had light and gladness and joy and honor." As our Sages explained: "Light" means Torah, etc.—that Torah and mitzvos are a lamp for one's feet and a light for one's path throughout daily life, so that life is truly worthy of its name.
With blessings for good and joyful news appropriate to these days when we increase in joy.
