In response to your letter from the 2nd of Adar Rishon, in which you write main points from your life and conclude with the current issue at hand—the matter of employment after your wedding at an auspicious and successful time—and you detail the pros and cons of both options.

Since success in teaching is diminished by the teacher's fatigue (from walking, etc.), it is likely that aside from the substitute position, another opportunity will soon arise at least as an additional source of income (in its literal sense or spiritual income or both). Therefore, you should prefer the position that avoids excessive fatigue.

Regarding your conclusion in your letter that you thought the wedding should specifically be on a day when fasting is permitted: It is well known what is written and explained by our Sages—these were given from one Shepherd; that is, both the matter of fasting on the wedding day and the instruction that on Rosh Chodesh one should not fast but rather on the day before it, and its effect as if one fasted on the wedding day—all were given from one Shepherd. This absolutely negates the expression in your letter: "Unfortunately, I was not able to accomplish this."

As mentioned above, may the wedding take place at an auspicious and successful time both materially and spiritually together, for Israel is one nation in the land and draws unity into all their matters.
