במענה לשני מכתביו מא' חוהמ"ס שנתקבלו ז"ע,
ות"ח על הבשו"ט... ויהי רצון שתלך ההשתפרות הלוך והוסיף, ומתוך מנוחת הנפש יוכל להוסיף בהתעסקותו במלאכתו מלאכת שמים הפצת היהדות המסורתית ובעיקר הפצת המעינות ע"י המוסדות שלנו ובכללות ע"י צנורות של יראת שמים ואהבת שמים שחד הוא עם אהבת התורה ואהבת ישראל.
התקוה חזקה שלא הסתפק בשמחת חג בית השואבה שכותב, וערכו ג"כ עוד חגיגות במשך זמן שמחתנו, ובזה כמובן ועיקר עם התלמידים-ות שי' והנוער שי' בכללו וגולת הראשה בימי שמע"צ ושמח"ת, והרי ימים כללים הם לכל השנה כולה, וענינם להשפיע שמחה אמיתית שמחה של תורה ושמחה של מצוה במשך כל ימי השנה בעניני תורה ומצות שבזה צריכים לכלול כל עניני האדם ע"פ הציווי בכל דרכיך דעהו.

In response to your two letters from the first day of Chol HaMoed Sukkos which I received, thank you for the good news...
May it be G‑d's will that the improvement continues to increase, and that with peace of mind you can further engage in your work—work for Heaven—spreading traditional Judaism and especially spreading the wellsprings through our institutions and generally through channels of fear of Heaven and love of Heaven, which is one with love of Torah and love of Israel.
The hope is strong that you did not suffice with the joy of Simchas Beis HaShoevah that you wrote about, but also held additional celebrations during the time of our rejoicing. Of course, this is especially important with the students and youth in general, culminating on Shemini Atzeres and Simchas Torah. These are general days for the entire year; their purpose is to inspire true joy—joy in Torah and mitzvah—throughout all days of the year in matters of Torah and mitzvos, which should include all aspects of a person's life according to the commandment: "B'chol derachecha da'eihu" (In all your ways know Him).
