Rabbi Yechamiel Blumenfeld (1930 – 1st of Iyar, 1980) served as the Chief Rabbi of the Jewish community and the head of the Rabbinical Court in Rio de Janeiro. He was also one of the first emissaries of the Rebbe in Brazil.
