Shalom u'Vrachah!

I acknowledge receipt of your letter from the 12th of Elul, with the good news about the recent joyful farbrengens, the welcoming at your home, and then the wedding.

May it be G‑d's will that you should always be able to share good and joyful news, with tranquility, happiness, and gladness of heart—in both general matters and also in personal matters, as one is dependent on the other. In both areas may you go from strength to strength, always increasing and adding light. This strengthening should begin immediately, for we are now in the auspicious days of the month of Elul and in the Torah portion of Atem Nitzavim HaYom Kulchem ("You are all standing today")—as Rabbeinu HaZaken is precise and explains at the beginning of this portion in Likkutei Torah: to be united as one etc., becoming a "reshut hayachid" (domain of unity) for His unity. This draws down blessings from Hashem Yisborach in all matters, as we say three times every day: Barecheinu Avinu (when) kulanu ke'echad ("Bless us our Father when we are all as one"). This is also explained in Tanya chapter 32.

Summary

The Rebbe teaches that unity brings G‑d's blessings in all areas. Especially during Elul, strengthening joy and togetherness leads to increased light and success both personally and communally.
