במענה על מכתבו מכ"ה תמוז. - נכון הדבר שימשיך בלימוד אומנות השו"ב, כיון שקשור זה בצוואת אביהם. ע"ה. אבל ביחד עם זה, לעת עתה לא יעזוב עניני החקלאות (אף אם עי"ז יתארך יותר זמן לימודו ואומנות השחיטה) עדי ידע ברור שמצליח בהלימוד. כן - בניחותא - יחפש אחרי איש המתאים למסור לו החלקה בכפר חב"ד, כמובן בהסכם ועד הכפר.

In response to your letter from the 25th of Tammuz: It is correct that you should continue learning the craft of shechita and bedikah, since this is connected with your father's will, of blessed memory. However, at the same time, for now you should not leave your agricultural work (even if this means your study and mastery of shechita will take longer) until you are certain that you are succeeding in your studies. Also—in a calm manner—you should look for a suitable person to whom you can transfer your plot in Kfar Chabad, obviously with the agreement of the village committee.
