במענה על מכתבו מודיע מעריכת מלוה מלכה סעודתא דדוד מלכא משיחא אור ליום הבהיר הוא י"ט כסלו גאולת רבנו הזקן בעל התניא - פוסק בנסתר דתורה - והשולחן ערוך - פוסק בנגלה דתורה - אשר פדה בשלום נפשו כי ברבים היו עמדו בשביל רבים שהיטיב לרבים (עיין ספר חסידים סי' תר"ז, ורשימת הצמח צדק על התהלים נ"ה י"ט) נצחון תורת החסידות הדרכותי' ומנהגי' והתחלת הפצתה ביותר בתוככי בני ישראל.
ובודאי יומא קגרים אשר בעת התועדות שעורך כת"ר שי' ישמעו דברי חסידות והתעוררות לנר מצוה תורה אור ומאור שבתורה זוהי פנימיות התורה, ויה"ר שיהיו דברים היוצאים מן הלב ונכנסים אל לב השומעים בהנוגע לחיי היום יומים.

In response to your letter, I am informed about arranging a Melaveh Malkah—the meal of David Malka Meshicha—on the night leading to the bright day, Yud Tes Kislev, the redemption of our master the Alter Rebbe, author of Tanya (the halachic authority in the hidden dimension of Torah) and Shulchan Aruch (the halachic authority in the revealed dimension of Torah), who redeemed his soul in peace because many stood for him for the sake of many whom he benefited (see Sefer Chassidim section 607, and Tzemach Tzedek's notes on Tehillim 55:19). This marks the victory of Toras HaChassidus, its guidance and customs, and the beginning of its greater dissemination among the Jewish people.
Certainly, "Yoma k'garim"—the day causes—that at the farbrengen you are organizing, words of Chassidus and inspiration will be heard regarding "Ner Mitzvah Torah Or u'Maor ShebaTorah," which is the inner dimension of Torah. May it be G‑d's will that these words come from the heart and enter into the hearts of those who hear them concerning their daily lives.
