בכלל עלו הוצאות הדפסה של השדי חמד לסכום עצום שלא שיערתי מראש. ומובן, אשר לולי עזרת הנדבות ביחוד לתכלית זו לא הי' נדפסים הכרכים שעד עתה, וכן הכרך האחרון הנמצא עתה בדפוס, כי ההכנסה ממכירת הספרים פעוטה היא למאד, וגם - זה קשור עם הוצאות נוספות, ובטח יצליח השי"ת.

Some time ago a set of Sdei Chemed was sent to you, and now another set is being sent. In general, the printing expenses for the Sdei Chemed have reached an enormous sum that I did not anticipate in advance. It is understood that if not for the help of donations specifically for this purpose, the volumes printed until now—and also the last volume currently in print—would not have been published, since the income from book sales is very minimal, and this is also connected with additional expenses. Certainly Hashem will grant success.
