We are surprised that you have not confirmed at all the receipt of the printed materials we have sent you several times already, nor have you informed us about payment for them during all this time. Please let us know how these matters will be resolved.

In general, withholding income from books that have already been printed is preventing us from publishing pamphlets and books that are ready for print. It would be appropriate to have a special committee in Tel Aviv that would take upon itself the sale and distribution of the printed items sent from here (the holy letters, pamphlets, talks, discourses, etc.). If they find it appropriate to distribute a certain number of them for free, we deduct twenty percent from the set price for this (and shipping costs are also on us). If this is not sufficient, a local source should be found to cover it.

Please do what you can to correct this also regarding books you received previously; I am sure you will do so in the future. The payment should be delivered to Yeshivas "Torat Emet." Please inform us how many copies to send from here in the future of each type.

We are sending you samples of Hebrew language textbooks for schools. It is worthwhile to notify the religious schools in Tel Aviv and its surroundings about this; they surely feel a great need for such books. The price of the first part is sixty cents and the price of the fifth part (for those who have studied six or seven years) is one dollar. If many are ordered we are prepared to give good discounts. The other parts are almost ready for print.

I would be very grateful if you could inform me with details about the Tanya printing—whether it is photographic or newly typeset and similar matters. I also request that you send here every publication produced by your group—whether copied or printed—at least one or two copies. In the future it would be proper to consult with us beforehand regarding such matters.

For example: My revered father-in-law, the Rebbe shlita, has now entrusted us with a pamphlet "U'Maayan" to print with added introductions and explanations etc., but I heard that locally it was reproduced by copying!
