Shalom u'Vrachah!
I acknowledge receipt of your letter from the 22nd of Tammuz. At an auspicious time, I will mention all those you wrote about at the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzal (may his merit protect us), in accordance with your letter's content.
I was especially pleased by what you wrote that your son Aharon has registered to settle in Kfar Chabad. Surely you have received my previous letter on this matter as mentioned above.
May it be G‑d's will that you share good news—true goodness—as our Sages say: "Good to Heaven, good to people, and good that produces fruit," in all matters about which you write.
We are now in days of remembrance for the destruction (Churban). The purpose of this remembrance is to know the cause of the destruction (because of our sins), and lessening destruction comes through building. As explained in Chassidus, for now this means adding light in Atzilus and building in Atzilus; but speedily in our days with the coming of Moshiach Tzidkeinu this will also be revealed in our lowly world.
It is explained in Chassidus (see Yashos Ashish—Likkutei Torah and elsewhere) how several powers can exist in one place; similarly, all worlds—from Atzilus down to Asiyah—are present together. And this suffices for understanding.
Summary
The Rebbe teaches that even during times focused on remembering destruction, we must channel our efforts into spiritual building and unity. Through positive actions and faith in redemption, we connect all worlds and bring G‑dliness into every aspect of life.
