במענה למכתבו מכ"ה טבת, בו כותב ראשי פרקים מאשר עבר עליו ועל משפחתו שי' עד עתה, ואשר ראו חסדי השי"ת שנתקיים ענין עלייתם לאה"ק ת"ו בשלום, ושואל עצתי במה עליו להתענין עתה.
והנה לכל לראש מובן וגם פשוט, שעליו ועל כאו"א מבני המשפחה, בתוככי כל אלו הרואים חסדי השי"ת במוחש, להביע תודתם או בסגנון חז"ל, להביא קרבן תודה, ובעניניו הוא, אשר שנה הראשונה לעלותו לארץ אשר עיני ה' אלקיך בה מראשית השנה ועד אחרית שנה, יקדיש להשתלמות בתוה"ק תורת חיים, ובהנוגע לקיום מצותי' כדבעי, ולכן עכ"פ (עד ראש השנה הבע"ל וגורר זה) עד לאחרי הימים הטובים סוכות הבע"ל, דעתי ברורה שילמוד בישיבת תומכי תמימים בלוד בהתמדה רבה ובשקידה, ובודאי שלא רק שלא יפריע זה להסתדרות טובה בפרנסה בעתיד אלא אדרבה תוסיף הצלחה בזה, ולרוב פשיטות האמור, אין צורך בבירור נוסף, ורק להוסיף אשר ע"פ הוראת רבותינו נשיאינו, ביחד עם לימודו לעצמו וכנ"ל בהתמדה ושקידה נגלה וחסידות, יקדיש מזמנו לפרקים מסוימים להפצת המעינות חוצה במסגרת פעולות תלמידי תומכי תמימים בלוד, צעירי אגודת חב"ד וכיו"ב.
בטח יודע משלשת השיעורים דחומש תהלים ותניא הידועים, ועכ"פ ישמור עליהם מכאן ולהבא.

In response to your letter from the 25th of Teves, in which you outline what has transpired with you and your family until now, and how you have seen the kindnesses of Hashem in that your aliyah to Eretz HaKodesh was accomplished peacefully. You ask my advice regarding what you should focus on now.
First and foremost, it is understood and obvious that you and every member of your family—especially all those who have tangibly experienced the kindnesses of Hashem—should express your gratitude or, as our Sages put it, bring a korban todah (thanksgiving offering). In your case, since this is your first year after ascending to the Land about which it is said: 'A land which the eyes of Hashem your G‑d are upon from the beginning of the year until year's end,' you should dedicate this year to advancing in Torah study—Torat Chaim—and in properly fulfilling its mitzvos.
Therefore, at least until Rosh Hashanah (and consequently until after the upcoming festivals of Sukkot), my clear opinion is that you should learn at the Tomchei Temimim yeshivah in Lod with great diligence and effort. Certainly, not only will this not hinder your future ability to earn a living but on the contrary—it will increase success in this area. Due to how self-evident this is, no further clarification is needed.
I would only add that according to the instruction of our Rebbeim Nesi'im, along with your personal learning—as mentioned above—with diligence and effort both in Nigleh and Chassidus, you should also dedicate certain times to spreading the wellsprings outward within the framework of activities by Talmidei Tomchei Temimim in Lod, Tzeirei Agudas Chabad, and similar groups.
You surely know about the three well-known daily study portions: Chumash, Tehillim, and Tanya; at the very least maintain them from now on.
