נאך א ליינגערן איבעררייס, איז אנגעקומען אייער בריף פון י"ז כסלו, און איך האף אז די קומענדע בריף וועלען זיין אין אן אופן לויט די אנווייזונג פון די חנוכה טעג, וואס מ'דארף צוגעבען אין ליכטלעך און ליכטיקייט, וואס דער פנימיות'דיקער תוכן אין דעם איז לויט דעם פסוק, כי נר מצוה ותורה אור, און אזוי זאל אויך זיין אין אייערע פרטיות'דיקע ענינים, און אויך אין דער ארבעט פון שטארקען און פארשפרייטען אידישקייט און חסידות בפרט, אויך אין א אופן מוסיף והולך מוסיף ואור.
און ניט קוקענדיג אויף אלע שוועריקייטען, איז זיכער אז אויך אויף דעם איז געזאגט געווארען, אין לך דבר העומד בפני הרצון, אמת, עס פאדערט זיך אנשטריינגונג, אבער מ'זעט דאס אין די לעצטע יארען, אז מ'איז מצליח אין דעם מערער ווי מ'האט זיך פארגעשטעלט (וואס זיכער האט איר דאס געזעהען אין אייער ארבעט, און אויך אייער מאן הרב שי' אין זיין ארבעט, און אזוי איז דאס אויך אין יעדער ארט).
און ווי מיר האבען געהערט פון מיין שווער כ"ק אדמו"ר, אז א סאלדאט גייט אין מלחמה, גייט ער מיט א פרייליכען נצחון מארש, וואס דאס מאכט מעגליך פארגרעסערען דעם נצחון און מאכט אויך נאהנטער דעם נצחון, אזוי אויך אין דאס אויבען געזאגטע, ווען איר און די אלע וועלכע טוען די ארבעט, וועלען גיין מיט שמחה און זיכערקייט אין דעם נצחון פון דער ארבעט, וועט דאס קומען גרינגער פריער און אין א גרעסערע מאס...
און דער עיקר איז צו שטארקען זיך אין בטחון, אז חסידות וועט אויספירן אומעדום און אויך אין... און דעריבער איז דאך אשרי חלקם וואס איר טוט אין דער ארבעט, און טאן דאס בשמחה ובטוב לבב, ווי עס פאדערן דאס רבותינו נשיאינו פון יעדער איינעם.

Shalom u'Vrachah!
After a longer trip, your letter from 17 Kislev has arrived, and I hope that the coming letters will be in a manner reflecting the instructions of the days of Chanukah—to add in lights and brightness. The inner content of this is according to the verse: Ki Ner Mitzvah v'Torah Or (For a mitzvah is a lamp and Torah is light), and so it should also be in your personal matters, as well as in the work of strengthening and spreading Yiddishkeit and Chassidus in particular—also in a manner of increasing more and more light.
And despite all difficulties, it is certain that regarding this too it has been said: Ein Lecha Davar HaOmed Bifnei HaRatzon (Nothing stands before willpower). True, effort is required, but we see in recent years that there is more success than one would have imagined (which you have surely seen in your work, as well as your husband HaRav shiy' in his work—and so it is everywhere).
And as we have heard from my father-in-law, the Rebbe: when a soldier goes into battle, he marches with a joyful victory march; this makes it possible to increase the victory and also brings the victory closer. So too with what was said above: when you and all those doing this work go with joy and certainty of victory in their efforts, it will come easier, sooner, and to a greater extent...
And the main thing is to strengthen oneself in bitachon (trust) that Chassidus will ultimately succeed everywhere... Therefore fortunate is your lot for what you are doing in this work—do it with joy and gladness of heart as our Rebbeim demand from each individual.
