נעם לי לקבל מכתבו מיום הראשון לסדר אדם כי יקריב מכם קרבן לה', מבשר טוב בשם הקהל ובשם התלמוד תורה מקבלת הספר תורה בבית הכנסת שלהם.
ויהי רצון אשר לא תמוש התורה מפי כל חברי בית הכנסת מפי זרעם וזרע זרעם.
ובאופן כמה שנאמר, שימו לבבכם לכל הדברים וגו' לשמור לעשות וגו' כי הוא חייכם ובדבר הזה תאריכו ימים על האדמה וגו' לרשתה.
מתאים להוראת חכמינו ז"ל, גדול תלמוד שמביא לידי מעשה בחיי היום יומים.
וידועים דברי הרא"ש נפסק להלכה בשו"ע סי' ע"ר דהאידנא המצוה היא לא רק בהנוגע לחומשי תורה אלא גם משנה וגמרא ופירושיהן.
בכבוד ובברכה להצלחה בכל האמור ולבשורות טובות ואין טוב אלא תורה ומצותי' טוב לשמים וטוב לבריות טוב העושה פירות - המצפה לבשו"ט בכלל ובפרט.

Shalom u'Vrachah!
I was pleased to receive your letter from Sunday of the portion "Adam Ki Yakriv Mikem Korban LaHashem" (when a person among you brings an offering to Hashem), bringing good news on behalf of the community and the Talmud Torah about receiving a Sefer Torah in their synagogue.
May it be G‑d's will that Torah never depart from the mouths of all members of the synagogue, nor from their descendants and their descendants' descendants. And in accordance with what is stated: "Simu Levavchem Lechol HaDevarim... Lishmor La'asot... Ki Hu Chayeichem U'vadavar Hazeh Ta'arichu Yamim Al HaAdamah... Lereshtah" ("Pay attention to all these words... to observe and do them... for it is your life and by this matter you will prolong your days on the land... to inherit it").
This aligns with our Sages' teaching: "Great is study, for it leads to action," in daily life. It is well known what the Rosh says, which is ruled as halachah in Shulchan Aruch Siman 270: that nowadays the mitzvah is not only regarding Chumash but also Mishnah and Gemara and their commentaries.
With honor and blessings for success in all mentioned above and for good tidings—there is no good except Torah and its mitzvos; good for Heaven and good for people; good that produces fruit—the one who awaits good news in general and in particular.
