Shalom u'Vrachah!

Surely you are doing this (after consulting with the yeshivah administration and with their permission, in a way that does not disrupt the order of the yeshivah), and you will have increased success in this matter.

In response to his letter from the 6th of Elul, in which he writes that G‑d has granted him the merit and success to study in the Yeshivas Toras Emes, which was founded and is directed by our Rebbeim, may it be G‑d’s will that he utilize his portion in this fully—that is, to study with diligence and perseverance, and also to influence his friends (that they should enter this yeshiva and study in the manner described), and to be active in spreading the wellsprings.

Regarding what you wrote about advice for sadness: study the holy Tanya in the places indicated in the index at its end.

Regarding what you wrote about fears: it is appropriate to have your tefillin checked, and also to memorize chapter 41 of the holy Tanya from the beginning of the chapter until the word "haMelech" on page two, and to review it in thought or even aloud.

Regarding what you wrote about concentration: it is known that the advice is to study from a book and also to pray from a siddur; even when studying by heart or contemplating mentally, keep the book open before you at the place you are studying.

With blessings for good news and to be inscribed and sealed for good.

Summary

The Rebbe gives practical guidance for overcoming sadness through Tanya study, addressing fears by checking tefillin and memorizing specific Tanya passages, and improving concentration by always learning from an open book or siddur.
