In response to your letter from the 24th of Sivan, in which you write about your work in recent months. It is self-understood that it causes pain to learn that not only has the work not expanded and grown, but on the contrary, the number of participants has decreased, etc.
Even if we were to accept that the reasons you mention are one hundred percent accurate, nothing has been accomplished by this alone. Especially considering that each of us has been instructed to increase good activities, it is certain that before this instruction was given, Hashem prepared the ability to fulfill it. From this it is understood that if until now there has not been success in this area, it is not due to inability but rather because most likely not enough was done or it was not done in the proper manner in certain places and circles.
It is clear that I do not intend to give rebuke or make things harder on your heart; my intention is only to once again emphasize the great opportunities given to you to accomplish in Judaism generally—imbued with Chassidic light—and in Chassidus specifically. It is a great loss for weeks and months to pass without utilizing these opportunities.
May Hashem help that in ways of pleasantness and peace all groups will come together as best as possible to work on this most important matter according to the wishes of our holy Rebbeim—which obviously must be pursued even during the summer months, though perhaps with different methods than during other times of year—and may you soon be able to report good news regarding all of the above.
