במענה על מכתבו, בו כותב אודות עבודתו בקדש בהכנה להו"ל מסכת פסחים בהשוואת הנוסחאות מכמה כתבי יד, בצירוף ביאור רחב בדברי הראשונים, ומצורף לזה פירושי הראשונים על מסכת זו עם הערות והגהות[2].
ויהי רצון אשר חפץ ה' בידו יצליח לפענח תעלומות וצפונות בתורתנו, ובפרט במסכת זו אשר כמה מעניני' נוגעים בהלכה למעשה. ומהם, בלשון רבנו הזקן[3], באיסור תורה חמור כחמץ שהחמירה בו תורה בב"י וב"י, אשר הרבה מספרים הראשונים ז"ל לא יצאו לאור הדפוס עדיין כו' עיי"ש. וראה ג"כ אגרת הקדש לרבנו הזקן סכ"ו (קמד, ב), וקונטרס אחרון שם ד"ה ולהבין פרטי ההלכות.
ושבקרוב יוכל לברך על המוגמר ולהוסיף חיילים בכגון דא מתוך מנוחה והרחבה.

In response to your letter, in which you write about your holy work preparing for the publication of Masechet Pesachim by comparing versions from several manuscripts, together with an extensive explanation of the words of the Rishonim, and included with this are the commentaries of the Rishonim on this tractate with notes and glosses.
May it be G‑d's will that your efforts succeed in deciphering mysteries and secrets in our Torah, especially in this tractate where many of its topics are relevant to practical halachah. Among them, in the language of Rabbeinu HaZaken (the Alter Rebbe), regarding the severe Torah prohibition like chametz that the Torah was stringent about both at home and outside the home, many works of the early sages have not yet been printed—see there. Also see Iggeret HaKodesh by Rabbeinu HaZaken section 26 (144b), and Kuntres Acharon there beginning "U'lehavin Pratei HaHalachos." May you soon be able to recite the blessing on completion and add further strength in such matters with tranquility and expansiveness.
