I was pleased to receive your letter from the 27th of Marcheshvan, in which I saw that you are involved with tzt"z in general. This gives me hope that you are engaged with chassidic tzt"z as well—that is, not only regarding the prayer text but also in spreading the wellsprings of Chassidus, its guidance and customs. As is known from the saying of our Rebbe the Alter Rebbe, Chassidus is meant for all Jews and not just for a particular type or class among them. There is nothing that stands in the way of willpower.

Regarding your question about the logic of buying a house for a synagogue when only half the required sum can be raised: According to common practice in Eretz Yisrael Tavo U'Titchadesh (may it be rebuilt and renewed), they proceed with such purchases even when less than half the price is available—especially since one can tell the owner that most or nearly all of the synagogue's income will go toward paying off his debt; this assurance will ease negotiations with him.

Although you did not mention it, I hope you held a farbrengen on Yud Kislev just passed and will do so even more so on Yud Tes Kislev coming up—the Rosh Hashanah for learning Chassidus and its ways. May it be G‑d's will that it be successful.
