Haraha"g vavac"h iy"a nu"n melachto melachet shamayim Yitzchak

Shalom u'Vrachah!

In response to your letter, you ask about the location of explanations or supplements and the like for the teaching in the words of Admor N"A himself, which is at the end of Parshat Chayei Sarah in Torah Or. It is surprising that you ask about this, since for about two years now, in Torah Or published by Kehot, there is printed at its end a commentary from our Rebbe the tzt"z on a large part of this teaching. Moreover, at the end of that edition I also provided many references for most of the discourses in Torah Or to chassidic works where these topics are discussed.

Even though it is possible that you used the expression at the end of your letter only as a turn of phrase, nonetheless I found it appropriate to comment on it as well. You write that "the nature of the soul is that in many matters its delay is like rejection," and surely you are emphasizing here "the soul." In my opinion this is not so; on the contrary—as is also evident from revealed Torah law that there is no concept of rejection regarding living beings (ba'alei chayim), unlike with things lacking life-force. There are also several parallels to this in revealed law.* Nevertheless, regarding practical action: I am responding to your letter without any delay at all, as requested.

Blessings that the merit of the one whose celebration it is will protect each and every one immediately to spread forth the wellsprings everywhere until they reach even those temporarily distant and even those who are lost—according to the theme of the celebrant: expansion and spreading out. As is known from our holy leaders—Admor HaZaken (the Alter Rebbe), Admor HaEmtza'i (the Mitteler Rebbe), and Admor tzt"z—corresponding to the attributes of Chochmah (wisdom), Binah (understanding), and Daas (knowledge).

With blessings for the festival.

*) Afterwards: They do not receive impurity. Fixed (they are not nullified from what they are). No rejection—nullification of rejection at its root—the concept of teshuvah. The idea of sovev kol almin—above hishtalshelut (the chain-like order), above time and place; certainly this nullifies even delays that come within time but were merely delayed. The lack of teshuvah among Bnei Noach who do not have an eternal animal soul; "and you who cling...are alive..."

Summary

The Rebbe points out existing sources for chassidic teachings and clarifies that spiritual delays do not equate to rejection. He encourages immediate action in spreading chassidus and highlights how our leaders embody wisdom, understanding, and knowledge.
