במ"ש, אז איך האב זיך א קנייטש געטאן, ולכן כתב ע"ד כו', הנה לפלא גדול על אנ"ש שי' שבהענינים אודותם הנני כותב מפורט ומהם שהנני... אף שאין ללמוד כל פשטים בזה שכתבתי או שאמרתי, ולאידך גיסא מתאחזים ברמזים ורמזי רמזים וקנייטשען וכו' ומתעמקים בזה וכו'...

In response to your letter from before Rosh Chodesh HaRachamim: Regarding what you wrote, that you "got a knot," and therefore wrote about such-and-such, it is truly astonishing regarding Anash (our community members), that in matters about which I write in detail—and from them I...—even though one should not derive every possible interpretation from what I have written or said, yet on the other hand, they cling to hints and subtle hints and knots, etc., and delve into them, etc...
