מאשרים קבלת מכתבו מז' ניסן, ולפלא ההפסק גדול כ"כ בין מכתב אחד לחבירו, וכן לפלא התחלת מכתב זה, שאין במה להצדיק את עצמו על אי הניצול של ימי הפורים, כי סו"ס מה תהי' התכלית מהעדר ניצול ימי הסגולה, והרי צ"ל כל יומא ויומא עביד עבידתי', כי ימים יוצרו ולו אחד בהם, וכמבואר בתורת החסידות.
במ"ש אודות השגת ספרים באופן של קני'. כבר כמדומה כתבו לו שנכון הדבר באופן של חילוף בהוצאת ספרי קה"ת, אבל מכמה טעמים לא באופן של קני', ובכ"א ת"ח על השתדלותו וטרחתו בכל זה.

We acknowledge receipt of your letter from the 7th of Nissan, and it is surprising that there was such a long gap between one letter and the next. It is also surprising how you began this letter, trying to justify not utilizing the days of Purim. After all, what will be the result of not making use of these special days? Each day must fulfill its purpose, as it is said: 'Days were formed and for Him there is one among them,' as explained in Chassidus.
Regarding what you wrote about acquiring sefarim through purchase: it seems we have already written to you that it is appropriate to do so by exchanging Kehot publications, but for several reasons not through outright purchase. In any case, thank you for your efforts and diligence in all this.
Enclosed is a copy of my general letter; may it be G‑d's will that it is utilized also in your surroundings and country.
