במענה על מכתבו מי"ג ניסן, עם הבשו"ט אשר גומר את הש"ס בבלי ויתחילו מחדש, וכן אשר גמר את התורה אור במשך החורף ולומד עתה הספר לקו"ת.
והנה אשרי חלקו אשר זכה לכל האמור אשר עי"ז תתוסף ג"כ ההצלחה בלימודו להבא, ושיקוים בלימוד זה גדול תלמוד שמביא לידי מעשה, וכפתגם רבוה"ק נשיאנו, ניט נאר לערנען תורה נאר אז די תורה זאל עם אויסלערנען.
ובמ"ש אודות הלימוד לקו"ת להבא, שאינו מספיק ללמוד ולגמור כל הסדרה במשך השבוע. הנה בכ"ז טוב שילמדו כסדרו, שאז ירגיש עליו החיוב יותר לגמרו בהקדם, משא"כ כשיחלקו לחלקים.
כבקשתו, אזכיר את כל אלו שכותב אודותם להמצטרך להם מתאים לתוכן מכתבו, ולבשר טוב בכל האמור.

In response to your letter from the 13th of Nissan, with the good news that you have completed the entire Talmud Bavli and will begin it anew, as well as having finished Torah Ohr over the winter and are now studying Likkutei Torah.
How fortunate you are to have merited all of this! Through this, your future studies will be even more successful. May your learning fulfill the teaching: "Great is study, for it leads to action," and as our holy Rebbes, our leaders, have said: not only should one learn Torah but also that the Torah should teach him.
Regarding your question about studying Likkutei Torah in the future—that it is difficult to complete each weekly section within a week—nonetheless, it is better to study it in order. This way you will feel a greater obligation to finish it promptly than if you divide it into parts.
As you requested, I will mention all those you wrote about for whatever they need according to your letter's content, and may there be good news in all these matters.
