In response to your letter from the 4th of Tishrei, and certainly my letters with the New Year’s blessing have already arrived.

As you requested, all those about whom you write will be mentioned at the holy Tziyon of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe, zatzukal lehe nbagm zya, for a good and sweet year. Since you are an emissary to bring their requests, you should certainly explain to them what is written in several places—and a passage about this is also quoted in Hayom Yom—regarding the ways of hiskashrus (connection), that hiskashrus is the channel for receiving blessing. First and foremost is keeping the three daily study portions established by my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe: Chumash, Tehillim, and Tanya as known. Regarding women: giving tzedakah before lighting candles every Erev Shabbat and Erev Yom Tov. For everyone: checking tefillin and mezuzot in their homes to ensure they are kosher according to halachah.

Blessings for good news in all of the above and for a gemar chasimah tovah.
