Shalom u'Vrachah!
I received your letter from the 9th of Iyar in which you write that you are distressed because you have not received a response from me to your letters. I have already written to several of Anash that I strive to fulfill their requests as much as possible and also to read their pan at the resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzal (may his merit protect us), as soon as possible. However, regarding notification about this matter—it does not depend so much on me due to the many distractions and distress and the large number of letters received. May it be G‑d's will that He grant success in time and effort to fulfill everyone's wishes in this regard as well. In any case, if they are distressed about it, there is no basis for it; it is not their fault but rather due to my lack of sufficient time.
Regarding what you wrote that the match proposed for your daughter has fallen through and you ask my opinion—since she will soon turn fifteen years old—whether to consider a shidduch now or wait: In my opinion, it is not advisable to take either extreme approach but rather to be interested in this matter calmly and without haste. Surely at the right time Hashem will show the way regarding this matter. As for your question whether specifically to seek a Tammim (student of Tomchei Temimim), such precision does not seem necessary to me—as long as the proposed match is such that he can become a Tammim; meaning he is inclined toward fixed times for studying revealed Torah and Chassidus and conducts himself according to chassidic ways and customs. Then one can hope that with proper influence from your daughter and Anash he will become a Tammim.
As you know, I have already pointed out to Anash in your community that they should use and utilize their country's newspapers from time to time—especially before holidays—to publish matters from Chassidus and appropriate chassidic stories fitting this direction. After all, the time has come to push away darkness in every corner of the world and all its aspects; this is preparation for that awaited day when 'the night will shine like day.'
Blessings for abundant livelihood and success in your holy communal work, much Yiddishe nachas—chassidishe nachas—from all your children together with your wife. Blessings for receiving the Torah with joy and inwardness.
Summary
The Rebbe reassures about delayed replies due to many obligations, gives balanced guidance on shidduch matters without extremes or haste, emphasizes spreading Chassidus through local media before holidays, and sends blessings for material and spiritual success.
