In response to your letter from 12 Shevat: a) Thank you for your update about the welfare of R. P.L. Landau and his family as well as what occurred during R. Sh. Palmer's stay in Eretz HaKodesh. "With a woman at the millstone," and surely you did all that was necessary to increase the assistance from the Chicago fund for Yeshivas Tomchei Tmimim.

b) The sichah of 10 Shevat and the kuntres for 13 Shevat have been sent to you. Since this date has already passed and Torah is considerate of Jewish property, it was sent by regular mail. Included in this package is also Kuntres Shevat for your son-in-law R. R.B.S. Schneerson and Kuntres Yom Kippur and Kuntres Shevat for your son-in-law R. Chaim Schneerson. Thank you for your effort in delivering them.

c) As a participant in the work of Merkaz L'Inyonei Chinuch and Kehot Publication Society, you are being sent the Sefer HaNiggunim which has just been published. Please confirm receipt of all the above.

d) Enclosed is a letter for each of those mentioned above; since I do not know their correct addresses. On this occasion I am interested to know if R.B.S. has printed any more articles concerning Kehot or Merkaz L'Inyonei Chinuch etc.

e) Regarding your questions about yahrzeit customs—I will answer after I clarify again, and perhaps it will also be printed in the upcoming Kuntres for 2 Nissan.

f) It is unfortunate that you have not yet sent your father's notes of blessed memory regarding Tanya; I had thought perhaps R.S.P. would bring them, and I have written about this many times already.

g) It was reported here in the newspapers that in your city there were disturbances against yeshivah students and religious Jews in general; please clarify what happened to calm concerns.

h) If you are able to obtain a license for this matter, you could purchase a certain number of every publication printed by Kehot—especially now that the number of Anash and Tmimim has increased in Eretz HaKodesh.
