Shalom u'Vrachah!
In response to your practical halachic question regarding the status of tzitzis strings made by a Jew with proper intent (lishmah) but produced by machine: there is a dispute among the later authorities on this matter, with most permitting it, though I am aware of the opinion of the Divrei Chaim in Shut Choshen Orach Chaim II:61 and those who prohibit. I asked my father-in-law, the Rebbe shlita, regarding actual practice. He told me that during World War I (1915-1918), when refugees arrived deep into Russia, my father-in-law's father (the Rebbe Rashab) sent special emissaries to Ginzburg's factory where they made tzitzis strings by machine—this is a significant precedent. Of course, as above, this applies regarding lishmah; however, care must be taken that there is no concern of linen mixture or any other kind.
Signed with blessings for a good inscription and gemar chasimah tovah to you and all your group. Rabbi Menachem Schneerson

Summary
The Rebbe writes that machine-made tzitzis strings are permitted if made with proper intent (lishmah), following precedents set during World War I. However, one must ensure there is no mixture of linen or other materials.
