Your letter was received, and enclosed is a receipt for your donation of two (2) dollars for "Machne Israel." The donation for the Yeshivah and Kollel Chabad has been given to them, and surely you will receive a direct receipt from them. Membership cards for the Mishnayos Ba'al Peh Society were sent some time ago to your sons, and they have surely arrived on time.

I would suggest that you also participate in other activities of "Machne Israel" and the "Merkaz L'Inyanei Chinuch." I believe it is quite easy for you to be effective in these areas, especially in two ways: a) Distributing the booklets and talks that have been printed—among all those whom you influence—by explaining their great value in inspiring teshuvah and fear of Heaven, especially in this time of Ikvesa D'Meshicha (the footsteps of Mashiach). The concept of immediate teshuvah leading to immediate redemption is explained in the letters of my father-in-law, the Rebbe shlita, printed in his second collection of letters. b) Ensuring that your sons also distribute these talks and "Shmuessen"—in Yiddish and English—which are printed for Jewish boys and girls, whose content brings children closer to Torah and Judaism.

The price of these booklets, talks, and "Shmuessen" is minimal, and anyone interested will surely want to purchase them. Everything depends on finding someone who wants to—and knows how to—explain the content of the talk or booklet to those who do not yet know that the light is good.

Surely you are aware of the teaching of Admor HaZaken based on MeHashem Mitzadei Gever Konanu (From G‑d are a man's steps established): When a Jew comes to a place, it is for a purpose—to fulfill a mitzvah, whether between man and G‑d or between man and his fellow. A Jew is an emissary from Above; wherever he is, he possesses the power of the One Who sent him. And my father-in-law, the Rebbe shlita, writes in one of his letters: We find that the main affection of the Holy One Blessed be He for Avraham Avinu was because—as explained—he would command (connect) his children and household; meaning that all his great service through trials does not compare to commanding and connecting others—to merit others.
