בנוגע צו דעם וואס איר שרייבט, אז איר האט נאך שוועריגקייטן וועגען דער קאנאדער וויזע, דארף דאס גופא דינען אייך פאר א באווייז, אז איר דארפט נאך אויפטאן אין אייער ארט, אין החזקת היהדות ותורה ומצות, און ווי עס איז באוואוסט וואס מיין שווער כ"ק אדמו"ר האט דערציילט אין נאמען פון זיין זיידען כ"ק אדמו"ר מוהר"ש זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע, ווי ער האט ערקלערט איינעם בארוכה, אז פרנסה גשמית קען דער אויבערשטער ברוך הוא געבען יעדעם איינעם פון אידען, אין א סביבה פון אידען, צווישן אידען שומרי תורה ומצוה אין א גרויסער אידישער קהלה א.א.וו. און אויב א איד געפינט זיין פרנסה אין א פארוואגעלטן ארט, איז דאס א באווייז, אז זיכער דארף ער דארטן עפעס מתקן זיין, אריינבריינגען מער אידישקייט, דעם נר מצוה ותורה אור צווישן די אידען וועלכע געפינען זיך דארטן, במילא פארבינדט מען דאס מיט פרנסה גשמית, בכדי אז אויך דער גוף ונפש הבהמית זאל וועלען פארען דארט, און זייענדיק דארטן זאל ער האבען די געלעגנהייט צו אויספירען זיין רוחניות'דיקע שליחות.
בייגעלייגט איז די רשימת דברים וואס איך האב געזאגט צו די תלמידי הישיבה, וועלכע פארען אויף עטליכע וואכען איבער די שטעט פון אמעריקא, צו מעורר זיין וועגען אידישקייט תורה ומצות, וואס באמת איז די רייד שייך צו יעדער אידען וועלכער איז פארוואגעלט אין א ארט, וואו מען געפינט ניט די אלע רוחניות'דיקע באדערפנישן, און נאך מער בכללות איז דאס שייך צו אלע אידען, וואר[ו]ם יעדער נשמה וועלכע איז חצובה מתחת כסא הכבוד האט אראפגענידערט אין א גוף און פארנעמט זיך מיט גשמיות'דיקע זאכען און גייט דורך פארשידענע נסיונות און שוועריגקייטן, וואס די אלע ירידות זיינען צורך עלי'.
מיט א וואונש אז איר זאלט מצליח זיין און אויספירען אייער רוחניות'דיקע שליחות, וואס דאס גופא וועט אייך ממשיך זיין הצלחה אין אייערע גשמיות'דיקע ענינים.

I received your letter from the 20th of Tammuz and your request to send you mezuzot, tefillin straps, and tzitzit. I have passed this on to the administration of "Merkaz L'Inyanei Chinuch," and when it becomes possible for them, they will send these items to you.
Regarding what you wrote about still having difficulties with the Canadian visa: this itself should serve as proof that you still have things to accomplish in your current place—in strengthening Judaism and Torah and mitzvot. It is well known what my father-in-law, the Rebbe, related in the name of his grandfather, the Rebbe Maharash zatzal: He explained at length to someone that G‑d can provide material livelihood to any Jew among Jews, among those who observe Torah and mitzvot, within a large Jewish community, etc. If a Jew finds his livelihood in a remote place, this is proof that he certainly has something there to rectify—to bring more Yiddishkeit there, the "ner mitzvah v'Torah or" (the candle of mitzvah and light of Torah) among the Jews who are there. Thus material livelihood is connected with this so that even the body and animal soul will be present there; being there gives him the opportunity to fulfill his spiritual mission.
Enclosed is the list of things I said to the yeshiva students who are traveling for several weeks through American cities to inspire about Judaism, Torah, and mitzvot. In truth these words apply to every Jew who finds himself isolated in a place lacking all spiritual needs—and even more so in general it applies to all Jews. For every soul hewn from beneath the Throne of Glory descends into a body and engages in material matters and passes through various trials and difficulties; all these descents are for a higher purpose.
With a wish that you succeed and fulfill your spiritual mission—for this itself will draw down success into your material matters.
P.S.: Your contribution has been forwarded to the fund supporting the Talmud Torahs and yeshivot established in the name of my father-in-law, the Rebbe "Oholei Yosef Yitzchak," in our Holy Land may it be rebuilt soon, as well as in Africa etc.
Summary
Difficulties we face can indicate unfinished spiritual work where we are. The Rebbe teaches that our material circumstances are intertwined with our mission to strengthen Judaism wherever we find ourselves—every Jew has a unique purpose even in remote places.
