במענה על מכתבו מט' אייר, בו שואל חוו"ד בענין קביעות זמן חתונתו בשעה טובה ומוצלחת:
הנה לדעתי אם אין מניעות בדבר נכון הדבר אשר יקבענה בחדש אלול הבע"ל שהוא חדש הרחמים און א מזל'דיקער חדש לחתונות, ויה"ר מהשי"ת שיהי' בנינם בנין עדי עד על יסודי התורה והמצוה מוארים במאור שבתורה שהיא תורת החסידות.
בברכת קבלת התורה בשמחה ובפנימיות.
נ"ב: לפלא שלא שמעתי ממנו זה זמן רב בנוגע למה שמדפיס במכ"ע, וכן בענין התקדמות העבודה בהעתקת הבית רבי ללשון הקדש, ובטח יודיע עד"ז במכתבו הבא.

In response to your letter from the 9th of Iyar, in which you ask my opinion regarding setting the time for your wedding at an auspicious and successful hour: In my view, if there are no obstacles in the matter, it is proper to set it in the coming month of Elul, which is the month of mercy and a particularly fortunate month for weddings. May it be the will of Hashem that your home be an everlasting edifice founded upon Torah and mitzvahs, illuminated by the light within Torah—which is the Torah of Chassidus.
With blessings for receiving the Torah with joy and inwardness.
P.S.: It is surprising that I have not heard from you for quite some time regarding what you are publishing in periodicals, as well as about progress in translating the Rebbe's house into the Holy Tongue. Surely you will inform me about this in your next letter.
