...ידוע מרז"ל משנכנס אדר מרבין בשמחה, ויעויין בסוף מס' תענית שהמדובר הוא בענין בנינים של שמחה, ועיין ג"כ שם במשנה סיום היעוד שיבנה במהרה בימינו, שזה שמחת כנסת ישראל למטה ושמחת הקב"ה למעלה וכהני בחשאי וברעותא דליבא הנה עליהם להכין בעבודתם הק' ב"ב בהגאולה האמיתית והשלימה ע"י משיח צדקנו, אמן.

...It is known from our sages of blessed memory: 'When Adar enters, we increase in joy.' See also at the end of Tractate Taanis that this refers to matters of building with simchah (joy). Also see there in the Mishnah at the conclusion regarding the promise that it will be rebuilt speedily in our days—this is the joy of Knesses Yisrael below and the joy of the Holy One Above. And as for kohanim, quietly and with heartfelt desire, they must prepare through their holy service for the building to be completed with the true and complete redemption through Moshiach Tzidkeinu, Amen.
