... ב) נהניתי לקרות ע"ד הרמת רוח לימוד הנגלה וע"ד התועלת שרואה מביקורו והבחינה בנגלה של הרה"ג עוסק בצ"צ וכו' מוהרא"ק[2] שי' ואם בכל זמן היו רעבים וצמאים לקראת בשו"ט עאכו"כ בזמנים אלו ובפרט בענין הקשור בתומ"צ.
ג) מ"ש בענין תשוקת התלמידים לנסוע לכאן, הנה אף כי אולי צודקים בטענותיהם מצד עצמם, אבל בכ"ז הרי זה טענת יחיד ופרט, ועל הישיבה והמוסדות להשתדל בטובת המוסד, אשר בד"מ יהי' טוב גם כן לתלמידי המוסדות, ובהתאם לזה צריכים להשתדל ביותר בצמיחת המוסד, ובמילא מוכרח הדבר שיוכלו להראות ולומר ראו גדולים שגדלתי, ולא להסתפק בהודעה זו, אשר התלמידים הגדולים נסעו למדינה אחרת וכו' וכמו שכתבתי כבר במכ' הקודמים בענין זה.
ד) בנוגע להצעתו שתלמידים מכאן יסעו ללמוד במוסדי אה"ק ת"ו הנה לע"ע קשור הדבר בקישויים גדולים, ובפרט שהתלמידים דכאן מורגלים בנוחיות כאלו וכו' ולא כל ההורים שבעי רצון בלא"ה מחנוכם בליובאוויטש, אבל עוד חזון למועד, ואולי במשך הזמן יבוא עת גם לזה.
ה) כיון שכותב שמכתבי לאחדים מהתלמידים ע"ד חרישה וזריעה, קרא זה גם בפני שאר התלמידים, אולי כדאי שיפרסמו ג"כ בשאר הכתות בישיבת לוד, ובענין חרישה וזריעה להוסיף מראה מקומות (ושם נמצא ג"כ תוס' ביאור) והוא בלקו"ת בשלח רפ"ד. שה"ש לח, ב. ובהמשך מים רבים פרק צח ואילך. ובכ"מ.

b) I was pleased to read about the uplifted spirit in the study of Nigleh and about the benefit you see from your visit and the examination in Nigleh by Haraha"g oseik b'tzt"z etc. Moreinu HaRav Eliezer Karasik. If at all times people were hungry and thirsty to receive good news, how much more so in these times—especially regarding matters connected to Torah and mitzvos.
c) Regarding what you wrote about the students' desire to travel here: even if perhaps their claims are justified from their own perspective, nevertheless it is an individual and particular claim. The yeshivah and institutions must strive for the welfare of the institution—which generally will also be good for the students—and accordingly must especially work for the growth of the institution. Therefore it is necessary to be able to show and say: "See the great ones I have raised," rather than being satisfied with merely reporting that the senior students have traveled to another country, etc., as I have already written in previous letters on this matter.
d) Concerning your suggestion that students from here travel to study in institutions in Eretz HaKodesh: at present this is connected with great difficulties—especially since the students here are accustomed to certain comforts, etc.—and not all parents are satisfied as it is with their children's education in Lubavitch. However, there is still hope for the future; perhaps over time there will come a time for this as well.
e) Since you write that my letter to some of the students about plowing and sowing was read before other students as well, perhaps it would be worthwhile to also publicize it among other classes in Yeshivas Lod. Regarding plowing and sowing, add references (where there is also additional explanation): Likkutei Torah Beshalach p. 284; Shir HaShirim 38b; Maamar Mayim Rabim ch. 98 onward; and elsewhere.
I await good news regarding all of the above.
