I received your letter along with the notes of recollections from the first years of the leadership of my father-in-law, the Rebbe. Thank you for what you have sent so far, and I strongly request that you continue with this, because although there are many stories you have written in quality, they are few in quantity. There is no doubt that many more such stories are recorded in your memory. If you can also encourage those whom you know remember matters and stories from those years to do likewise, please do so, or let me know who they are and I will write to them directly.

I am sorry about the lack of information regarding Haraha"ch Moharash"m Kalmanson shochet u'bodek; please inform me of what you know since he is near your camp.

Enclosed is the kuntres for the 28th of Cheshvan; surely you will share it with the public.

Now to the main point: among those who traveled with you there are some who do not have notification and acceptance (certificates). Therefore, I ask—using every possible expression and even more—to test them as needed or to study with them together, so that during their stay in Kalmal they will receive all these notifications and acceptances. Also convey to them on my behalf—again using every possible expression—that it is impossible otherwise and that they should make every effort necessary to obtain these notifications and acceptances. Honestly, I did not imagine that after having already traveled several times to Ireland they would still not have all the required certificates for a shochet u'bodek. There is no need to elaborate on something so obvious. My strong hope is that you on your part and all those mentioned above on their part will act energetically in all these matters and bring me good news that this has been accomplished—and that preparations have already begun—and that in due time you will also inform me when it has actually been completed.

Certainly it is unnecessary to remind you about proper preparations connected with the upcoming month of Kislev—namely Yud-Tes Kislev and Chanukah days—when there is surely an opportunity to utilize these days for spreading the wellsprings of our holy Rebbes' teachings and their guidance in Chassidic ways.
