מיט פארגעניגען האב איך ערהאלטען אייער בריף פון ד' אלול, און עס האט מיר געפרייט צו לייענען אין אים, אז איר זעצט פאר אייער ארבעט אין דער עסקנ[ו]ת צבורית צו העלפן פרומע אידן בכלל און אויך אנ"ש און די ענינים פון דער ישיבה בפרט, און עס איז זיכער, אז ניט נאר וועט דאס ניט שטערן צו דער הצלחה אין אייערע געשעפטען, נאר אדרבה דאס וועט זיין א סיבה און כלי צו אויסברייטערען די כלים פון פרנסה אין וועלכע השי"ת וועט אייך געבען פון היינט אן און ווייטער מידו המלאה הפתוחה הקדושה והרחבה.
געוויס האט איר געהערט פון דעם אויסשפראך וואס מיין שווער כ"ק אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע, פלעגט שטענדיג זאגען, אז די אלע וועלכע העלפען אין חינוך הכשר פון אידישע קינדער, וועלכע ווערן אנגערופען בנים אתם לה' אלקיכם, גיט זיי השי"ת מדה כנגד מדה, אז זיי זאלן האבען אמת'ן נחת, אידישן נחת, פון זייערע קינדער, און אויך אין דעם פאל איז זיכער, אז עס וועט זיין אזוי, אז איר צוזאמען מיט אייער פרוי תחי' וועט האבען נחת אידישן נחת, פון אייער טאכטער תחי'.
ווען איך בין געווען אויפן ציון פון מיין שווער כ"ק אדמו"ר ח"י אלול, וועלכער איז דער געבור[ט]סט טאג פון מורנו הבעש"ט און פון כ"ק אדמו"ר הזקן בעל השו"ע והתניא, האב איך מזכיר געווען אייך און אייער פאמיליע שיחיו צו וואס יעדערער פון אייך באדארף, און געוויס וועט ער מעורר זיין רחמים למעלה, אז איר זאלט האבען ברכה והצלחה.
עס האט מיך געפרייט צו באקענען זיך מיט אייער טאכטער תחי' - ווען זי איז געווען בא מיר אויף איר דורכרייזע צו לאנדאן - וועלכע האט געמאכט א גוטען איינדרוק אויף מיר, וואס דאס פארשטארקט מיין בטחון, ווי איך שרייב אייך, אז איר וועט האבען פון איר אידישן נחת.
בנוגע צו דעם עגמת נפש פון דעם שותף דער ניט איד, איז מיין מיינוג, אז איר דארפט אריינטראכטען, אפשר האט איר גורם געווען, בשוגג אדער באונס, עגמת נפש צו אידן דורך אדער אין דעם געשעפט, און ווען איר וועט דאס מתקן זיין, וועט זיכער אפגעטאן ווערען פון אייך דער עגמת נפש פון ניט אידען.
ולקראת השנה החדשה הבאה עלינו ועל כל ישראל לטובה ולברכה הנני בזה להביע ברכתי ברכת כתיבה וחתימה טובה לו ולב"ב שיחיו, לשנה טובה ומתוקה בגשמיות וברוחניות גם יחד.

With pleasure I received your letter from the 4th of Elul, and it made me happy to read that you continue your work in public service to help observant Jews in general, as well as Anash and the matters of the Yeshivah in particular. It is certain that not only will this not hinder success in your business affairs, but on the contrary, it will serve as a reason and vessel to expand the channels of livelihood through which Hashem will grant you from His full, open, holy, and broad hand from now on.
You have surely heard the saying of my father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzal (may the memory of the righteous be a blessing for life in the World to Come), who would always say that all those who help in proper education of Jewish children—who are called 'Banim Atem LaHashem Elokeichem' ("You are children to Hashem your G‑d")—Hashem gives them measure for measure so that they should have true nachas, Jewish nachas, from their children. In this case too it is certain that you together with your wife tichyeh will have nachas—Jewish nachas—from your daughter tichyeh.
When I was at the Ohel of my father-in-law the Rebbe on Chai Elul—which is the birthday of our teacher the Baal Shem Tov and of my father-in-law the Alter Rebbe, author of Shulchan Aruch and Tanya—I mentioned you and your family sheyichyu for whatever each of you needs. Surely he will arouse mercy Above so that you will have blessing and success.
I was pleased to meet your daughter tichyeh—when she visited me during her trip to London—who made a good impression on me. This strengthens my confidence—as I write to you—that you will have Jewish nachas from her.
Regarding the distress caused by your non-Jewish partner: my opinion is that you should consider whether perhaps you inadvertently or under duress caused distress to Jews through or within this business. If you correct this matter, surely the distress from non-Jews will be removed from you.
As we approach the new year which is coming upon us and all Israel for good and blessing, I hereby express my blessing: may you be inscribed and sealed for a good year—you and all your household sheyichyu—for a good and sweet year both materially and spiritually together.
