המצווה הרכ"ה
הציווי שנצטווינו להגלות מכה נפש בשגגה מעירו לערי מקלט.
והוא אמרו יתעלה: "וישב שם עד מות הכהן הגדול" (במדבר לה, כה).
ולשון ספרי:"וישב שם - אינו יוצא משם לעולם, שנאמר 'שם' - שם תהא דירתו, שם תהא מיתתו, שם תהא קבורתו".
וכבר נתבארנו כל דיני מצווה זו במסכת מכות.
The 225th Mitzvah
1. The commandment by which we were commanded to exile one who kills a person unintentionally from his city to the cities of refuge.
2. This is His statement, may He be exalted: "וישב שם עד מות הכהן הגדול" ("He shall dwell there until the death of the Kohen Gadol," Bamidbar 35:25).
3. In the words of the Sifri: "וישב שם - אינו יוצא משם לעולם, שנאמר 'שם' - שם תהא דירתו, שם תהא מיתתו, שם תהא קבורתו" ("'He shall dwell there'—he never leaves there, as it says 'there': there shall be his dwelling, there shall be his death, there shall be his burial," Sifri).
