המצווה הקפ"א
הציווי שנצטווינו בעריפת עגלה, אם נמצא בשדה הרוג שלא נודע מי הרגו.
והוא אמרו יתעלה: "כי-ימצא חלל באדמה" (דברים כא, א).
וזהו דין עגלה ערופה.
וכבר נתבארנו דיני מצווה זו בפרק אחרון ממסכת סוטה.
The 181st Mitzvah
1. The commandment by which we were commanded concerning breaking the neck of a calf, if a slain person is found in the field and it is not known who killed him.
2. This is His statement, may He be exalted: "כי-ימצא חלל באדמה" ("If a slain person is found on the land," Devarim 21:1).
3. This is the law of the eglah arufah (the calf whose neck is broken).
4. The laws of this mitzvah have already been explained in the last chapter of tractate Sotah.
