Give thanks to the L‑rd, for He is good, for His kindness endures forever.
So let the redeemed of the L‑rd say, those whom He redeemed from the hand of the oppressor,
and gathered them in from the lands, from the east and from the west, from the north and from the sea.
They wandered in the wilderness, in a desolate way; they found no city to dwell in.
Hungry and also thirsty, their soul grew faint within them.
Then they cried out to the L‑rd in their distress; He rescued them from their troubles.
He led them on a straight path, to go to an inhabited city.
Let them give thanks to the L‑rd for His kindness, and for His wonders to the children of man.
For He has satisfied the longing soul, and filled the hungry soul with good.
Those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death, bound in affliction and iron —
because they rebelled against the words of G‑d and spurned the counsel of the Most High,
He humbled their heart through toil; they stumbled and there was none to help.
Then they cried out to the L‑rd in their distress; He saved them from their troubles.
He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and broke apart their bonds.
Let them give thanks to the L‑rd for His kindness, and for His wonders to the children of man.
For He has shattered doors of bronze, and cut through bars of iron.
Fools, because of their sinful way and because of their iniquities, are afflicted.
Their soul loathed all food, and they reached the gates of death.
Then they cried out to the L‑rd in their distress; He saved them from their troubles.
He sends His word and heals them, and rescues them from their graves.
Let them give thanks to the L‑rd for His kindness, and for His wonders to the children of man.
Let them offer sacrifices of thanksgiving, and recount His deeds with song.
Those who go down to the sea in ships, who do their work on great waters,
they have seen the works of the L‑rd and His wonders in the deep.
He spoke and raised up a stormy wind, which lifted high its waves.
They rise up to the heavens, they go down to the depths; their soul melts away in distress.
They reel and stagger like a drunkard, and all their wisdom is swallowed up.
Then they cried out to the L‑rd in their distress, and He brought them out of their troubles.
He turns the storm into a calm, and its waves are stilled.
They rejoiced when the waters grew calm, and He led them to their desired haven.
Let them give thanks to the L‑rd for His kindness, and for His wonders to the children of man.
Let them exalt Him in the assembly of the people, and praise Him in the session of the elders.
He turns rivers into a wilderness, and springs of water into parched ground,
a fruitful land into salt waste, because of the wickedness of those who dwell in it.
He turns a wilderness into a pool of water, and a parched land into springs of water.
There He settles the hungry, and they establish an inhabited city.
They sow fields and plant vineyards, which yield a fruitful harvest.
He blesses them and they multiply greatly, and He does not let their cattle decrease.
Then they are diminished and brought low through oppression, misfortune and sorrow.
He pours contempt upon princes, and makes them wander in a trackless waste.
He raises the needy out of affliction, and makes his families like a flock.
The upright see it and rejoice, and all wickedness shuts its mouth.
Whoever is wise, let him take note of these things, and let them understand the kindnesses of the L‑rd.
Eliyahu began and said:
Master of the worlds, You are One but not in number. You are the Highest of all the high, the most Hidden of all the hidden; no thought can grasp You at all.
You are the One who brought forth ten tikkunim (garments), which we call ten sefiros, through which to direct hidden worlds that are not revealed and worlds that are revealed; and through them You conceal Yourself from mankind. And You are the One who binds them and unites them; and since You are within them, whoever separates any one of these ten sefiros from its fellow, it is accounted to him as though he had made a separation in You.
And these ten sefiros proceed in their order: one long, one short, and one intermediate.
And You are the One who directs them, but there is none who directs You — neither above, nor below, nor from any side.
You have prepared garments for them, from which souls issue forth to mankind.
And You have prepared for them a number of bodies, which are called “bodies” in relation to the garments that cover them; and they are named in this arrangement:
Chesed — the right arm;
Gevurah — the left arm;
Tiferes — the torso;
Netzach and Hod — the two legs;
Yesod — the extremity of the body, the sign of the holy covenant;
Malchus — the mouth, which we call the Oral Torah;
Chochmah — the brain, which is the thought within;
Binah — the heart, and with it the heart understands. And concerning these two it is written: “The hidden things belong to the L‑rd our G‑d.”
The supernal Keser is the crown of royalty, and of it is said: “He declares the end from the beginning.” It is the skull upon which the tefillin are placed. Within it is the Name MaH (thus: Yud Hei Vav Hei, spelled out with alef), which is the path of Atzilus; and it is the watering of the tree, through its arms and its branches, like water that waters a tree, and it grows through that watering.
Master of the worlds, You are the Cause of causes and the Reason of reasons, who waters the tree with that flow.
And that flow is like the soul to the body, for it is the life of the body.
But in You there is no likeness and no image of anything within or without.
You created heaven and earth, and brought forth from them the sun and the moon, the stars and the constellations;
and on the earth — trees and grasses, the Garden of Eden, herbs, beasts, cattle, birds, fish and human beings — so that through them the supernal realms might be known, and how the higher and lower realms are conducted, and how the higher are made known from the lower. But there is none who knows You at all.
Apart from You there is no unity among the higher or the lower beings, and You are known as the Cause over all and the Master over all.
Each sefirah has a known name, and by them the angels are called.
But You have no known name, for You are the One who fills all the names.
And You are the perfection of them all.
And when You withdraw from them, all the names remain like a body without a soul.
You are wise, but not with a known wisdom; You understand, but not with a known understanding.
You have no known place —
only to make known Your strength and Your power to mankind, and to show them how the world is conducted with judgment and with mercy, for there is righteousness and justice according to the deeds of men.
Din (judgment) is Gevurah; Mishpat (justice) is the middle pillar; Tzedek (righteousness) is the holy Malchus; the scales of righteousness are the two supports of truth; Hin of righteousness is the sign of the holy covenant — all this to show how the world is conducted. But not that You possess a known righteousness, which is judgment, nor a known justice, which is mercy, nor any of these attributes at all.
Blessed is the L‑rd forever, Amen and Amen.
Beloved of the soul, compassionate Father, draw Your servant to Your will. Let Your servant run like a hart to bow down before Your splendor; may Your love be sweeter to him than the honeycomb and every taste.
Glorious, Beautiful, Radiance of the world, my soul is sick with love for You. Please, G‑d, heal her now by showing her the pleasantness of Your radiance; then she will be strengthened and healed, and will have everlasting joy.
Ancient One, let Your compassion be aroused, and please have pity on the son of Your beloved; for how long have I yearned intensely to behold the splendor of Your might. These are what my heart desires; please have pity and do not hide Yourself.
Reveal Yourself, please, my Beloved, and spread over me the shelter of Your peace. Let the earth shine with Your glory; we will be glad and rejoice in You. Hasten, Beloved, for the time has come, and be gracious to us as in days of old.
The L‑rd spoke to Moshe, saying:
Command the children of Israel and say to them: My offering, My food for My fire-offerings, a pleasing odor to Me, you shall be careful to offer Me at its appointed time.
And say to them: This is the fire-offering which you shall bring to the L‑rd: two yearling male lambs without blemish every day, as a continual burnt-offering.
One lamb you shall offer in the morning, and the other lamb you shall offer in the afternoon;
and a tenth of an ephah of fine flour for a meal-offering, mixed with a quarter of a hin of oil of crushed olives.
This is the continual burnt-offering, as it was offered at Mount Sinai, for a pleasing odor, a fire-offering to the L‑rd.
And its libation shall be a quarter of a hin for the one lamb; in the Sanctuary you shall pour out a libation of strong wine to the L‑rd.
And the other lamb you shall offer in the afternoon; with the same meal-offering as in the morning and with the same libation you shall offer it, a fire-offering of pleasing odor to the L‑rd.
He shall slaughter it on the north side of the altar before the L‑rd, and the sons of Aaron, the Kohanim, shall sprinkle its blood all around the altar.
You are the L‑rd our G‑d and the G‑d of our fathers, before whom our forefathers burned the offering of incense in the time when the Beis Hamikdash stood, as You commanded them through Moses Your prophet, as it is written in Your Torah:
The L‑rd said to Moses: Take for yourself spices:
balsam, onycha, and galbanum; spices and pure frankincense, each of equal weight.
And you shall make of it incense, a compound expertly blended, well mingled, pure and holy.
You shall grind some of it very fine, and put some of it before the Testimony in the Tent of Meeting, where I will meet with you; it shall be most holy to you.
And it is said: Aaron shall burn upon it incense of spices; every morning, when he sets the lamps in order, he shall burn it.
And when Aaron lights the lamps in the afternoon, he shall burn it, a continual incense before the L‑rd throughout your generations.
The Rabbis taught: How was the incense prepared?
It contained three hundred and sixty‑eight maneh: three hundred and sixty‑five corresponding to the days of
the solar year — one maneh for each day, half offered in the morning and half toward evening — and three extra maneh, from which the Kohen Gadol took his two handfuls on Yom Kippur. On the day before Yom Kippur he would return them to the mortar and grind them very thoroughly, so that it would be exceedingly fine. Eleven kinds of spices were in it, and these are they:
(1) balm,
(2) onycha,
(3) galbanum,
(4) and frankincense, each weighing seventy maneh;
(5) myrrh,
(6) cassia,
(7) spikenard,
(8) and saffron, each weighing sixteen maneh;
(9) costus, twelve;
(10) aromatic bark, three;
(11) cinnamon, nine.
Also, nine kav of lye of Carshina; three se'ah and three kav of Cyprus wine — if he had no Cyprus wine, he would bring strong white wine; a quarter kav of salt of Sodom; and a minute quantity of a smoke-raising herb.
Rabbi Nassan of Babylon says: Also a minute quantity of Jordan amber. If he added honey to it, he rendered it unfit; and if he omitted any one of its spices, he is liable to the penalty of death.
Rabban Shimon ben Gamliel says: The balm is nothing but a resin that drips from the balsam trees. The lye of Carshina was used for rubbing the onycha to make it beautiful; the Cyprus wine was used for steeping the onycha to make it pungent. Though urine is suitable for that purpose, urine is not brought into the Beis Hamikdash out of respect.
It was taught: Rabbi Nassan says: When he ground the incense, he would say, "Grind it thoroughly, thoroughly grind it," because the sound is good for the spices. If he mixed it in half-quantities, it was fit for use; but as to a third or a quarter, we have not heard. Rabbi Yehudah said: This is the rule — if it was made in its correct proportions, it is fit for use in half the quantity; but if he omitted any one of its spices, he is liable to the penalty of death.
It was taught: Bar Kappara says: Once every sixty or seventy years, the accumulated surpluses amounted to half a year’s quantity. Bar Kappara further taught: Had one put a drop of honey into it, no one could have withstood its scent. Why then was honey not mixed into it? Because the Torah said: “For you shall not burn any leaven or any honey as a fire‑offering to the L‑rd.”
The L‑rd of hosts is with us; the G‑d of Jacob is a stronghold for us, Selah.
The L‑rd of hosts is with us; the G‑d of Jacob is a stronghold for us, Selah.
The L‑rd of hosts is with us; the G‑d of Jacob is a stronghold for us, Selah.
L‑rd of hosts, happy is the man who trusts in You.
L‑rd of hosts, happy is the man who trusts in You.
L‑rd of hosts, happy is the man who trusts in You.
L‑rd, help us; may the King answer us on the day we call.
L‑rd, help us; may the King answer us on the day we call.
L‑rd, help us; may the King answer us on the day we call.
Then the offering of Judah and Jerusalem will be pleasing to the L‑rd, as in the days of old and as in former years.

Happy is the people whose lot is thus; happy is the people whose G‑d is the L‑rd.
A Psalm of praise by David: I will exalt You, my G‑d the King, and bless Your Name forever and ever.
Every day I will bless You, and extol Your Name forever and ever.

The L‑rd is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth.
He fulfills the desire of those who fear Him, hears their cry and saves them.
The L‑rd watches over all who love Him, and will destroy all the wicked.
My mouth will utter the praise of the L‑rd, and let all flesh bless His holy Name forever and ever.
And we will bless the L‑rd from now to eternity. Praise the L‑rd!
Exalted and hallowed be His great Name. (Amen) Throughout the world which He has created according to His will. May He establish His kingship, bring forth His redemption and hasten the coming of His Moshiach. (Amen) In your lifetime and in your days and in the lifetime of the entire House of Israel, speedily and soon, and say, Amen. (Amen)
May His great Name be blessed forever and to all eternity. Blessed and praised, glorified, exalted and extolled, honored, adored and lauded be the Name of the Holy One, blessed be He. (Amen) Beyond all the blessings, hymns, praises and consolations that are uttered in the world; and say, Amen. (Amen)

Blessed are You, L‑rd, who crushes enemies and subdues the wicked.
May Your compassion be aroused, L‑rd our G‑d, upon the righteous, upon the pious, upon the elders of Your people the House of Israel, upon the remnant of their sages, upon the righteous converts, and upon us. Grant ample reward to all who truly trust in Your Name, and place our lot among them; may we never be put to shame, for we have put our trust in You. Blessed are You, L‑rd, the support and security of the righteous.

Our G‑d and G‑d of our fathers, may there ascend, come and reach, be seen, accepted and heard, recalled and remembered before You, the remembrance and recollection of us, the remembrance of our fathers, the remembrance of Moshiach the son of David Your servant, the remembrance of Jerusalem Your holy city, and the remembrance of all Your people the House of Israel, for deliverance, for well-being, for grace, kindness and mercy, for good life and for peace, on this day of Rosh Chodesh.
Remember us on this day, L‑rd our G‑d, for good; Amen
be mindful of us on it for blessing; Amen
and help us on it for good life. Amen

We will give thanks to You and recount Your praise, for our lives which are committed into Your hand, for our souls which are entrusted to You, for Your miracles which are with us every day, and for Your wonders and favors at all times — evening, morning and noon. You are the Beneficent One, for Your mercies never cease; and the Merciful One, for Your kindnesses never end; for we always place our hope in You.
And for all these, may Your Name, our King, be continually blessed, exalted and extolled forever and all time.
And all living things shall forever thank You, and praise Your great Name eternally, for You are good. G‑d, You are our everlasting salvation and help, O beneficent G‑d. Blessed are You, L‑rd, Beneficent is Your Name, and to You it is fitting to offer thanks.
Bestow peace, goodness and blessing, life, graciousness, kindness and mercy, upon us and upon all Your people Israel. Bless us, our Father, all of us as one, with the light of Your countenance, for by the light of Your countenance You gave us, L‑rd our G‑d, the Torah of life and lovingkindness, righteousness, blessing, mercy, life and peace. May it be favorable in Your eyes to bless Your people Israel at all times and at every hour with Your peace. Blessed are You, L‑rd, who blesses His people Israel with peace.
May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable before You, L‑rd, my Strength and my Redeemer.
My G‑d, guard my tongue from evil and my lips from speaking deceitfully. To those who curse me, let my soul be silent; and let my soul be as dust to all. Open my heart to Your Torah, and let my soul eagerly pursue Your commandments. As for all those who plot evil against me, hasten to annul their counsel and frustrate their design. Let them be as chaff before the wind; let the angel of the L‑rd thrust them away. That Your beloved ones may be delivered, help with Your right hand and answer me. Do it for the sake of Your Name; do it for the sake of Your right hand; do it for the sake of Your Torah; do it for the sake of Your holiness. May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable before You, L‑rd, my Strength and my Redeemer.
He who makes peace in His heavens, may He make peace for us and for all Israel; and say, Amen.
May it be Your will, L‑rd our G‑d and G‑d of our fathers, that the Beis Hamikdash be speedily rebuilt in our days, and grant us our portion in Your Torah.

We will hallow and adore You as the sweet words of the assembly of the holy Seraphim who thrice repeat "holy" unto You, as it is written by Your prophet: And they call one to another and say:
Holy, holy, holy is the L‑rd of hosts; the whole earth is full of His glory.
Those facing them offer praise and say:
Blessed be the glory of the L‑rd from its place.
And in Your holy Scriptures it is written thus:

When the chazzan says Modim, the congregation says Modim DeRabbanan:
We thankfully acknowledge that You are the L‑rd our G‑d and G‑d of our fathers, the G‑d of all flesh, our Creator and Creator of all things in the beginning. Blessings and thanks are due to Your great and holy Name, for You have given us life and sustained us; so may You continue to give us life and sustain us, gather our exiles to the courtyards of Your Sanctuary, and we will return to You to keep Your laws, to do Your will, and to serve You with a perfect heart, for we thankfully acknowledge You. Blessed is G‑d, who is worthy of thanks.
We thankfully acknowledge that You are the L‑rd our G‑d and the G‑d of our fathers forever. You are the strength of our life, the shield of our salvation, in every generation. We will give thanks to You and recount Your praise, for our lives which are committed into Your hand, for our souls which are entrusted to You, for Your miracles which are with us daily, and for Your wonders and favors at all times, evening, morning and noon. You are the Beneficent One, for Your mercies never cease; the Merciful One, for Your kindnesses never end; for we always place our hope in You.
YOU MAY BE SEATED
And for all these, may Your Name, our King, be continually blessed, exalted and extolled forever and all time.
And all living things shall forever thank You and praise Your great Name eternally, for You are good. G‑d, You are our everlasting salvation and help, O benevolent G‑d. Blessed are You, L‑rd, (Blessed be He and blessed be His Name) Beneficent is Your Name, and to You it is fitting to offer thanks. (Amen)
Bestow peace, goodness and blessing, life, graciousness, kindness and mercy, upon us and upon all Your people Israel. Bless us, our Father, all of us as one, with the light of Your countenance; for by the light of Your countenance You gave us, L‑rd our G‑d, the Torah of life and loving‑kindness, righteousness, blessing, mercy, life and peace. May it be good in Your eyes to bless Your people Israel, at all times and at every moment, with Your peace.
Blessed are You, L‑rd, (Blessed be He and blessed be His Name) who blesses His people Israel with peace. (Amen)
May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable before You, L‑rd, my Strength and my Redeemer.
KADDISH TISKABAIL
(Amen)
May the prayers and supplications of the entire House of Israel be accepted before their Father in heaven; and say, Amen. (Amen)
May there be abundant peace from heaven, and a good life for us and for all Israel; and say, Amen. (Amen)
He who makes peace (During the Ten Days of Teshuvah: the peace) in His heavens, may He make peace for us and for all Israel; and say, Amen. (Amen)
It is upon us to praise the Master of all, to ascribe greatness to the Creator of the beginning, that He has not made us like the nations of the lands, nor set us like the families of the earth; that He has not made our portion like theirs, nor our lot like that of all their multitudes.
for they bow to vanity and nothingness.
But we bend the knee, bow down and offer praise before the Supreme King of kings, the Holy One, blessed be He,
who stretches forth the heavens and establishes the earth, the seat of whose glory is in the heavens above, and the abode of whose majesty is in the loftiest heights. He is our G‑d; there is none else.
Truly He is our King; there is nothing besides Him, as it is written in His Torah:
"Know this day and take unto your heart that the L‑rd is G‑d; in the heavens above and upon the earth below there is nothing else."
And therefore we hope to You, L‑rd our G‑d, that we may speedily behold the splendor of Your might, to banish idolatry from the earth, and the false gods will be utterly destroyed; to perfect the world under the sovereignty of the Almighty;
and all mankind shall invoke Your Name, to turn to You all the wicked of the earth.
Then all the inhabitants of the world will recognize and know that every knee should bend to You, every tongue should swear by Your Name.
Before You, L‑rd our G‑d, they will bow and prostrate themselves, and give honor to the glory of Your Name; and they will all take upon themselves the yoke of Your kingdom. May You soon reign over them forever and ever, for kingship is Yours, and to all eternity You will reign in glory, as it is written in Your Torah:
"The L‑rd will reign forever and ever."
And it is said: "The L‑rd shall be King over the whole earth; on that day the L‑rd shall be One and His Name One."

Do not fear sudden terror, nor the destruction of the wicked when it comes.
Contrive a scheme, but it will be foiled; conspire a plot, but it will not materialize, for G‑d is with us.
To your old age I am He, and to your hoary years I will sustain you; I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and deliver you.
Indeed, the righteous will extol Your Name; the upright will dwell in Your presence.
Mishnayos
(7) If one immersed a bed in it, even though its legs sink into the thick mud, it is pure, because the water touches them first.
A mikveh whose water is shallow: one may press down even bundles of wood, even bundles of reeds, so that the water may rise, and then go down and immerse. A needle that is lying on the steps of the cave: if one moved it back and forth in the water, once a wave has passed over it, it is pure.
Rabbi Chananya ben Akashya says: The Holy One, blessed be He, wished to grant merit to Israel; therefore He gave them Torah and mitzvos in abundance, as it is said: The L‑rd desired, for the sake of his [Israel's] righteousness, to make the Torah great and glorious.
