In response to your letter from after the eighth of Elul regarding the honorable proposal, etc.
Certainly both of you—yourself and the woman in question—have decided to establish your home among the Jewish people on the foundations of Torah and mitzvah in daily life. May it be G‑d's will that it be at an auspicious and successful time, and that you build an everlasting Jewish home.
In response to your questions: a) In the near future (a few years), it is advisable that you live in the aforementioned place. b) As for place of residence—it is obvious that you should live in the Shomrei Tomim Tzaddikim neighborhood. c) Regarding livelihood—priority should be given to education. d) My opinion is well known: whoever shortens the time between engagement and marriage—the shorter, the better. And this is for several reasons.
