אפשר שמכתבי זה יעורר תמיהתו, כיון שעד עתה לא היתה לנו הזדמנות להיפגש אישית או לבוא במגע וכו', אבל מאחר שתוכנו הוא ענין הנוגע לרבים תקותי שיקבל פנייתי אליו בסבר פנים יפות, ובמיוחד שהוא ענין אשר בודאי תלוי בו שיבוא על פתרונו הטוב, ובפרט שזכות הרבים מסייעתו.
והענין הוא בנוגע ישיבת הרמב"ם אשר בהדר יוסף, ת"א, אשר כפי שהודיעו לי נמצא ממולה מגרש שזה מזמן שטיפלו להעמיד את המגרש לרשות הישיבה, אלא שהרשיון הפורמלי ל"שינוי יעוד" מעכב, ועכשו יש כאילו סברה לעשות שם מועדון קהלתי.
ואף על פי שלא ידועים לי פרטי הדברים והקושיים שבזה, אבל בשים לב שזה נוגע לענין יסודי של לימוד תורה ברבים, ובפרט מוסד מעדת הספרדים, שלנוער שלהם בעיות מיוחדות, ובעיקר בעיות קליטה אחרי שעקרו ממדינות בהן חיו מאות בשנים ועלו לאה"ק ת"ו וצריכים להסתגל לתנאי חיים שונים בהחלט מאלו שהורגלו בהם וכו' - בודאי ראויים הם לשימת לב מיוחדה ולפנים משורת הדין ויותר.
והרי לדכוותי' דמר הבקי בכל ענינים אלו, האריכות בזה למותר, ובפרט אשר סיפרו לי שכבר פנו למר בענין זה. ולא באתי אלא לתמוך בבקשתם ולהוסיף גם בקשתי, כפולה ומכופלת, לסייע להתפתחות הישיבה האמורה בכלל ובמיוחד על ידי העברת המגרש המבוקש לרשותה, שכפי בקשתם נמצא סמוך לה ממש, בתנאים נוחים.
בכבוד ובברכה לבשר טוב בהאמור, ובכלל מפעולותיו לטובת אחינו בני ישראל בעיר ואם בישראל ת"א-יפו וסביבותי'. ות"ח מראש על הטרחא בכ"ז וסליחה על ההטרדה בכ"ז.

It is possible that my letter will surprise you, since until now we have not had the opportunity to meet personally or be in contact, etc. However, since its content concerns many people, I hope you will receive my request graciously—especially as this matter certainly depends on you for a good resolution, and particularly since the merit of the public assists you.
The matter concerns Yeshivas Rambam in Hadar Yosef, Tel Aviv. As I have been informed, there is a plot of land opposite it which has long been intended to be allocated for the yeshiva's use. However, the formal permit for changing its designation is delayed, and now there is apparently an idea to establish a community club there instead.
Although I do not know all the details and difficulties involved, considering that this concerns a fundamental issue of public Torah study—especially an institution serving the Sephardic community whose youth face unique challenges, particularly issues of absorption after uprooting from countries where they lived for centuries and immigrating to Eretz Yisrael—and who must adapt to living conditions entirely different from those they were accustomed to—they certainly deserve special attention beyond the letter of the law and more.
Since you are well-versed in all these matters, it is unnecessary to elaborate further—especially as I have heard that others have already approached you about this matter. My purpose is only to support their request and add my own plea—doubled and redoubled—to assist in the development of this yeshiva in general and especially by transferring the requested plot adjacent to it under favorable conditions.
With honor and blessing to hear good news regarding this matter and in general from your activities for the benefit of our fellow Jews in Tel Aviv-Yafo and its surroundings. Thanks in advance for your effort in this matter and apologies for any inconvenience caused.
