One must do everything within her ability regarding the shidduch. Therefore, it is advisable that together with writing the dissertation, she should also have a job, as this will hasten finding a good shidduch.
I will mention it at the Tziyun. Certainly she is making efforts in spreading Judaism, especially among the new immigrants from Bukhara.
