דאָס איז דער יסוד פון תורה חינוך בכלל, און בפרט פון מוסדות חינוך חב"ד, וואו אידישע קינדער ווערן דערצויגן אין אַן אופן אַז אויך שפּעטער, ווען זיי פאַרענדיגען זייער חינוך, זאָלן זיי לייכטן און באַלייכטן זייער סביבה מיט דער ליכטיקייט פון תורה און מצוות, דורכגעדרונגען מיט חסידישע לעבעדיקייט און וואַרעמקייט.

Shalom u'Vrachah!
To those involved in the annual undertaking of the NY Committee for the Seminar for Teachers and Girls' Schools in Kfar Chabad in our Holy Land—may G‑d grant them life—blessing and peace!
The Torah portion Behaaloscha, which we read this Shabbat, begins with the mitzvah of kindling the Menorah. Although this mitzvah itself is connected to a specific place (the Beis HaMikdash), a specific time (when the Temple stood), and specific people (the Kohanim), nevertheless, Torah is eternal and all matters in Torah are everlasting in their inner content and guidance for daily life for all Jews, at all times and in all places.
The inner point of Behaaloscha Es HaNeiros is that a Jew must kindle light—the light of Ner Hashem Nishmas Adam ("The candle of G‑d is the soul of man")—both within themselves and within others, so that they shine with the brightness of Ner Mitzvah v'Torah Or ("A mitzvah is a candle and Torah is light"). And this must be done in a manner of Behaaloscha—so that the flame rises on its own.
This is the foundation of Torah education in general, and especially in Chabad educational institutions, where Jewish children are raised so that even later, when they complete their education, they will shine and illuminate their surroundings with the light of Torah and mitzvos, permeated with chassidic vitality and warmth.
In this regard, the Seminar for Teachers and Girls' Schools in Kfar Chabad has special importance because here the students are prepared to take their place in education and to be true Akeres HaBayis—a "lighter of lights" in every sense.
Therefore it is a great merit for all those who participate in helping provide necessary financial support for these mentioned institutions so they can fulfill their mission of Behaaloscha Es HaNeiros to the fullest extent.
May Hashem Yisbarach help that this annual undertaking should be with great success, and may this merit stand by all participants to receive G‑d's blessings in everything they need together with their families—both materially and spiritually.
