זה זמן רב ביותר שלא קבלתי מכתב ממר, אף על פי שאני דורש עליו על ידי ידידינו המשותף מר שלמה שי' מידנצ'יק.
כתבי עתה הוא בקשר עם הזדמנות שבאה לידי (בהפתעה) להביע דעתי, אף כי באופן חשאי, בשאלת ההסדר חלקי וכו', ובפרט
שנתבקשתי
גם כן לפרש שתיקתי בשבועות האחרונים בנוגע להחזרת השטחים בכלל ולבעיות הסדר חלקי בפרט.
ומרשה אני לעצמי להמציא גם למר הערכתי בזה על פי

בזה. ואסיר תודה אהי' לו אם יודיעני תגובתו בהאמור, ובאם יש לו הרשות לכתוב בזה – באופן גלוי-לב. ומובן ופשוט אשר מכתבו מענה יהיה רק בינו וביני באם רצונו של מר בזה.
כיון שנכנסנו לחודש אלול, אביע למר ולכל אשר לו ברכתי לכתיבה וחתימה טובה לשנה טובה ומתוקה.

It has been a very long time since I received a letter from you, even though I inquire about you through our mutual friend Mr. Shlomo Midanchik.
I am now writing in connection with an opportunity that came my way (unexpectedly) to express my opinion—albeit confidentially—on the question of partial settlement arrangements, etc., especially since I was also asked to clarify my recent silence regarding the return of territories in general and the issues of partial settlement in particular.
I allow myself to also convey to you my assessment on this matter as attached here. I would be grateful if you would inform me of your reaction to what was said, and whether you have permission to write about this—in a candid manner.
It is understood and obvious that your reply will remain strictly between us if that is your wish.
Since we have entered the month of Elul, I extend to you and all yours my blessing for a good inscription and sealing for a good and sweet year.
