I received your letter pleasantly, along with your request for a blessing regarding your graduation. Certainly, since you are learning in a Chabad school, it is unnecessary to emphasize that graduation is only the beginning—a transition to a higher stage in Torah study: learning in order to observe and fulfill. As our Sages of blessed memory instruct us: study that leads to action—the observance of mitzvos with excellence.
May it be G‑d's will that each and every one of you go from strength to strength in matters of Torah and its mitzvos, with diligence and perseverance and good conduct—with joy and gladness of heart.
This is especially relevant during these days of redemption and joy connected with the Previous Rebbe's imprisonment and liberation. His imprisonment was not a private matter; he was imprisoned for his total dedication to educating Jewish boys and girls in Torah and mitzvos. His liberation is thus the liberation of this approach—a lesson for every Jewish boy and girl to strengthen their daily lives according to our Torah of life and fulfillment of its mitzvos about which it is said "and you shall live by them," influencing all those around them in this direction.
