ונוסף על העיקר מילוי הציווי – הרי זה גם הצנור והכלי לקבלת ברכות השי"ת בהמצטרך.
ויהי רצון מהשם יתברך שתהי' שנה הבאה עלי' לטובה שנת הצלחה בגשמיות וברוחניות ותבשר טוב בכל האמור.
בברכת הצלחה וגם (ואולי – ובעיקר) בשירתה – בשירה שבכתב ובפרט – בשירת-החיים, שהרי ע"פ תורתנו תורת חיים (כמבואר בתורת החסידות) חיי האדם שירה (בכח) הם ועל האדם להביאה מן הכח אל הפועל ושתהי' שירת קודש

Blessings and greetings! In response to your letter from Tuesday, 3 Teves, in which you write about your birthday: surely you are increasing in matters of Judaism and mitzvos as our holy Torah—the Torah of life—commands us to always ascend in holiness. In addition to fulfilling this essential commandment, this is also the channel and vessel for receiving the blessings of the Holy One Blessed be He for all that is needed.
May it be the will of Hashem that the coming year for you be a good one—a year of success both materially and spiritually—and may you share good news regarding all the above.
With blessings for success also (and perhaps—mainly) in your singing—in song that is written and especially in the song of life. For according to our Torah, a Torah of life (as explained in Chassidus), a person's life is potentially a song; it is upon each person to bring this potential into actuality so that it becomes a sacred song. As hinted by the sweet singer of Israel: Ashirah laHashem b'Chayai ("I will sing to Hashem with my life")—including also its grammatical usage.
With honor. Thank you for the gift—the two songs you enclosed with your letter. Perhaps there will be an appropriate opportunity to write more about this as well.
