אביע איחולי ותקותי אשר בודאי ביהכ"נ וביהמ"ד שלהם הולך מחיל אל חיל בעבודת התפלה – כבית הכנסת, ובשיעורי תורה (נגלה וחסידות) ברבים – כבית המדרש, ובאמירת תהלים בעת מצוא ובפרט בימי סגולה, אשר ספר

הרי הוא הממוצע בין תורה ותפלה, חלק התהלות ותשבחות בכ"ד ספרי התורה.

משל למלך שקודם בואו לעיר יוצאין אנשי העיר לקראתו ומקבלין פניו בשדה ואז רשאין כל מי שרוצה לצאת להקביל פניו והוא מקבל את כולם בסבר פנים יפות ומראה פנים שוחקות לכולם כו'.
ויהי רצון אשר כל אחד ואחד מאתנו בתוככי כלל ישראל ינצל ימי סגולה אלה להתקרב לאבינו שבשמים באמת ובפנימיות, בהוספה בעניני תורה ומצוות בהידור, והשם יתברך יקבל בסבר פנים יפות ושוחקות תפלות ובקשות כל אחד ואחד מאתנו בתוככי כלל ישראל לטובה ולברכה.

On the birthday of the two great luminaries, namely the holy Admor Reb Yisrael Baal Shem Tov—after whom your synagogue is named—and the holy Admor Rabbi Shneur Zalman, founder of Chabad Chassidus, I extend my blessings and hopes that certainly your synagogue and study hall are advancing from strength to strength in prayer—as a synagogue—and in public Torah study (both revealed Torah and Chassidus)—as a study hall—and in reciting Tehillim at auspicious times, especially on special days. The book of Tehillim serves as an intermediary between Torah and prayer; it is the section of praise and thanksgiving among all twenty-four books of Torah.
The Faithful One Who hears the prayers of His people Israel with mercy—especially at gates distinguished by halachah—will accept your prayers and fulfill your heart’s desires for good from His full, open, holy, and generous hand.
Especially based on information I received from Haraha"ch iy"a nu"n Baal Middos HaRach"n Kovalski—one of those who arranges your synagogue and study hall and its conduct—I am certain you will continue with even greater strength to ascend in holiness ever higher.
These are auspicious days—the month of mercy and favor—whose nature is explained in the well-known parable from our master Rabbeinu HaZaken (the Alter Rebbe), author of Tanya and Shulchan Aruch (Likkutei Torah Parshas Re'eh p.32): A parable about a king who before entering the city is met by its inhabitants in the field; then anyone who wishes may go out to greet him, and he receives everyone with a pleasant countenance and shows a smiling face to all.
May it be G‑d’s will that each one of us within all Israel utilize these auspicious days to truly draw closer to our Father in Heaven—inwardly—with increased dedication to Torah and mitzvos performed beautifully. May Hashem accept with a pleasant and smiling countenance all our prayers and requests for good and blessing.
