במענה למכתבו מי"ח אדר שני, בו כותב סברות שונות אודות אופן יקום יד ושם לזכותה של אמו ע"ה, שרצונו לעשות זה ע"י השקעת כסף במוסד חינוך בני ישראל על טהרת הקדש, ויש לו בזה שתי סברות.
וע"פ הוראת חז"ל, אין מעבירין על המצות, ומצוה הבאה על ידך אל תחמיצנה, נכון לקבל העצה שבירושלים עיה"ק ת"ו, שאז הרי תיכף ומיד תהיינה פירות מהשקעה זו, צאן פרי מצוה.
ואם בכל ענין טוב צריכה להיות זריזות וכנ"ל שלא להחמיץ, עאכו"כ בשטח החינוך הט', שבאם אין קולטים את המחונך תומ"י למסגרת מתאימה, סכנה צפוי' מפני הרוחות בלתי רצויות המנשבות בחוץ וכו' וד"ל.
בברכה שמכאן ולהבא לא ידע עוד מכל צער ועגמת נפש ח"ו, ומתוך בריאות וטוב לבב יעשה ויפעול בהפצת התורה והמסורה באופן דמוסיף והולך ואור.

In response to your letter from the 18th of Adar Sheini, in which you write various considerations regarding how to establish a memorial (yad vashem) for your late mother, expressing your desire to do so by investing money in an institution for the education of Jewish children in purity and holiness, and you have two approaches in mind.
According to the directive of our Sages, "ein ma'avirin al hamitzvos" (one should not pass over mitzvos), and "a mitzvah that comes to your hand—do not let it become leavened," it is proper to accept the advice given in Jerusalem, the Holy City may it be rebuilt and established, for then the fruits of this investment—offspring of the mitzvah—will be immediate.
If in every good matter there must be alacrity, as above—not to let it become delayed—how much more so in the field of pure education. If one does not immediately bring the child into a suitable framework, there is danger from undesirable influences blowing outside, etc., and this is self-understood.
Blessings that from now on you will know no more pain or distress G‑d forbid; with health and gladness of heart may you act and succeed in spreading Torah and tradition ever-increasingly with light. And blessings for good news in all mentioned above.
